Temple Of Snek Quick Pitch / Artists Statement
What if Snek, but also Dungeon?
In Temple of Snek you play as a giant snake in an intercoiled tile-based puzzle dungeon. Explore, master puzzle mechanics and special abilities, and uncover secrets... all is not what it seems in the Temple of Snek.
What's in the demo?
The demo will let you try out the first part of Snek's adventure in Story Mode. You'll get to learn the basic mechanics and solve some simpler puzzles while exploring the dungeon around Snek's lair, before moving up to the palace to try out some of the harder puzzles you might encounter. You'll also be able to check out Classic Mode, which is a re-imagined version of good monch-n-grow Snake.
What's coming next?
It won't be long before Temple of Snek launches into early access, and when that happens you'll be able to play more of Story Mode, explore more of the temple, puzzle out more mechanics and abilities, solve some mysteries and uncover a tale with twist or two. Eventually, you'll be able to design your own snake-skin, and maybe even edit your own puzzles.
Who's behind this?
Aetheric Games is me, Nick Bell, a tiny indie studio based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Temple of Snek also features interactive music composed by Miles Tilmann of PixelJam. While Snek grows and grows, we'd love to grow the community too, so come on over to the Temple of Snek on Discord and give us your feedback.
