Update notes - 4/16/2021

Hello everyone~
In this update, we have fixed some bugs, and optimized some scenes and animation assets to improve overall performance, therefore, the patch size is larger than usual. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

As for feedback and suggestions about the last balancing update, we have recorded and been working on improving the game based on the responses. Please give us more time to solve them because our main focus now is on the development of new content. Thanks for your understanding and support.

  • Optimized the display interface when teammate is carrying the shell in [Dinghai Bay-Final Stage]
  • Optimized icons of some status


[h3]Special Effects & Models:[/h3]
  • Optimized [Lei Luo]'s animation in the main menu


[h3]Sound Effects:[/h3]
  • Optimized the reverberation in different maps
  • Added sound effects when bullet with different materials hit different objects


[h3]Levels:[/h3]
  • The vault with stone monsters will not exist in the adventure with normal difficulty
  • In the vault of spinning fire trap, lower the number of spike traps on the ground and there will be no horsehead on the second floor


[h3]Daily Challenge:[/h3]
  • Optimized the performance of monster resurrection in [Resurgency]
  • In Daily Challenge, there will be no red treasure chest in [Longling Tomb-Stage 1]
  • The vault with stone monsters will not exist in [Resurgency]


[h3]Bug Fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where it takes longer than expected for certain heroes to equip their weapon after casting their skills
  • Fixed an issue where players could not gain immunity to elemental effect as expected with [Lei Luo]'s random talent [After casting [Fatal Current], remove self elemental effect immediately. In the next 2s, gain immunity to elemental effect and reduce DMG taken by 60%]
  • Fixed incorrect HUD counter with [Lei Luo]'s random talent [After killing an enemy 15 meters away with a crit hit, the weapon damage will be increased by 0.5% permanently]
  • Fixed an issue where [Lei Luo]'s ascension [Lightning from Void] could not be triggered when enemies are too far away
  • Fixed an issue where [Lei Luo]'s ascension [Electric Circuit] would unintentionally transmit damage based on the thunderbolt of Fatal Current instead of the weapon DMG
  • Fixed an issue where [Energy Orb] could freeze missiles launched by [Arrogant Lobster]
  • Fixed an issue where [Emergency Defense] is inactive after the player who uses [Qing Yan] is revived by teammates via Peddler
  • Fixed an issue where the volume of some sound effects could not be adjusted
  • Fixed an issue where sound effect could not be interrupted when [Kappa] is killed if he is casting the magic ball
  • Fixed an audio issue where pain sound would not be played for players when they're hit by the killed monsters' lingering attack
  • Fixed abnormal flame direction of spinning fire traps in the corresponding trap vault
  • Fixed an issue in [Duo Fjord-Stage 2] where monsters would not jump off the rooftop at one particular place
  • Fixed an issue where red treasure chests would not spawn in some levels
  • Fixed an issue with [Thunder Storm]'s exclusive inscription [+100% radius for weapon skill's lightning ball and +100% DMG for its detonation], players cannot detonate the lightning ball by hitting the edge of the ball
  • Fixed an issue that prevents the player from interacting with the weapons that dropped at the feet of NPCs
  • Fixed an issue where the arrows that compare damage of both weapons may reversely display
  • Fixed incorrect weapon mode prompt when [Ao Bai] is dual-wielding
  • Fixed an issue where the screen may abnormally shake when using some high RoF weapons with [Crown Prince]
  • Fixed an issue where the arrow of [ Strike Wing ] would be missing when switching to another weapon immediately after shootingv
  • Fixed an issue where some weapons could not awake stone enemies on hit
  • Fixed incorrect price of some items sold by Peddler
  • Fixed an issue where aim assist on controller could not be turned off
  • Fixed an issue in the Daily Challenge theme [Economic Pressure] where the treasure chest at the end of a level would unintentionally grant copper
  • Fixed an issue in the daily challenge theme [Unavoidable Confrontation] where the bonus effect of [Indomitable Vitality] could be influenced by the challenge event [Increases Crit DMG, decreases all other damage]


[h3]4/17 Additional Update:[/h3]
  • Fix an issue where the changing of Sound Effect and Voice Volume won't affect the corresponding reverberation.
  • Fix an issue where the room challenge “Continue to be injured and defeat enemies to get healing!”, and the bonus effect [Haunting Encounter] of the theme [Vlad's Dream]in Daily Challenge will frequently play the hit sound.

[h3]Balance Adjustments for Lei Luo:[/h3]
  • [Talents]
    Content Adjustment on Lv.2 Talent:
    1. Original: Remove the elemental effect immediately after releasing [Fatal Current], and the damage taken in the next 2 seconds will be reduced by 60%
    Adjusted: After casting [Fatal Current], remove self elemental effect immediately. In the next 2s, gain immunity to elemental effect and reduce DMG taken by 60%
    2. Get a "patrimonial" sniper rifle
    Now provide a better "patrimonial" sniper rifle
    3. Added: -0.2s cooldown of [Fatal Current] upon every hit causing by [Chain Lightning]
    4. Added: Summon a thunderbolt to strike on the target when [Chain Lightning] only hits one enemy
    5. Original: After killing an enemy 15 meters away with a crit hit, the weapon damage will be increased by 0.5% permanently
    Adjusted: After killing an enemy 15 meters away with a crit hit, the weapon damage will be increased by 0.3% permanently

  • [Skills]
    1. [Chain Lightning]: Adjusted base DMG from 500 to 600
    2. The bonus weapon damage of [Thunderstrike] caused by [Fatal Current] is decreased from 200% to 100%
    3. The cooldown time of [Fatal Current] will start counting after the state ends

  • [Ascensions]
    1. Fulminous Zap:
    Original: -80% movement speed of the enemy hit by [Fatal Current] for 0.2s/0.3s/0.4s
    Adjusted: 0.4s/0.6s/1s
    2. Lightning from void: Have chance to trigger [Chain Lightning] by dealing critical hit. The base trigger probability of weapon with 4x CritX is increased from 50% to 70%
    3. Super Charge:
    Original: Recharge 3/4/6 shield for each damage dealt by [Chain Lightning]
    Adjusted: Max Shield +20/30/40 for 5/6/8s after [Chain Lightning] inflicts damage, and recharge 4/5/8 shield each hit caused by [Chain Lightning]
    4. Storm Blast: [Thunderstrike] no longer triggers a crit hit necessarily when the ascension is at Lv.3
    5. Magical Supply:
    Original: Once [Thunderstrike] kills the enemy, the ammo consumed will be recovered and [Fatal Current] will be launched. However, -25% duration for this [Fatal Current], down to 2s
    Adjusted: Once [Thunderstrike] kills an enemy, the ammo consumed will be recovered and [Fatal Current] will be launched with -30% duration


[h3]Interface UI:[/h3]
  • Heroes' icons in the mini map will not cover up monsters


[h3]Special Effects & Models:[/h3]
  • Reduced some special effects from teammates when teaming up
  • Optimized the special effects of Portals in [Longling Tomb], [Anxi Desert] and [Duo Fjord]
  • Optimized [Lei Luo]’s model and animation effect


[h3]Levels:[/h3]
  • Reduced HP of stone monsters in [Basement of Longling]
  • Optimized spawn parameters of monsters in [Basement of Longling], [Desert Ruins] and [Shoreside Valley]
  • Reduce the difficulty of reaching some places in [Anxi Desert] and [Duo Fjord]
  • Added a new route in [Anxi Desert-Stage 2]
  • Added a new route in [Anxi Desert-Stage 3]
  • Added a new route in [Duo Fjord-Stage 1]
  • Adjusted the challenge event [All monsters will constantly recover HP] to [After monsters are injured, 60% HP DMG taken will be recovered over 4s].
  • The effect of the challenge event [Fewer monsters remains, stronger attributes they have] now can also boost movement speed of enemies.
  • Increased the healing parameter in the challenge event [Monster will cure other monsters around based on lost HP].
  • Increased the spawn rate of traps, reduced DMG caused by traps, and shortened the duration for traps in the challenge event [Traps will be spawned beneath the hero once in a while].


[h3]Weapons:[/h3]
  • New Mechanism for [Frenzied Shark]: The detection radius would be increased based on the number of bounces (won't exceed the AoE radius)
  • Optimized Mechanism for [Shrieker]:
    Base DMG: 605->555
    CritX: 2.0->1.5
    Piercing: 2->1
    Explosion Range: 4m-> 3m when hitting an enemy, 5m when hitting a barrier
    Charge Time: 1.32s->0.9s


[h3]Other Systems:[/h3]
  • Adjusted the amount of coins dropped, and reduced the cost for upgrading weapons


[h3]Monsters:[/h3]
  • Adjustments to defensive and shielding monsters:
  • [Defensive]:
    Damage caused by hitting enemies' weaknesses would not be affected by the damage reduction
    In [Longling Tomb] & [Basement of Longling], defensive enemies would receive 40% damage reduction for their non-weakness spots being hit
    In [Anxi Desert] & [Desert Ruins], defensive enemies would receive 50% damage reduction for their non-weakness spots being hit
    In [Duo Fjord] & [Shoreside Valley], defensive enemies would receive 60% damage reduction for their non-weakness spots being hit
  • [Shielding]:
    In [Longling Tomb] & [Basement of Longling], shielding enemy would offer 10% of max HP or max shield/armor (if any) to itself and all enemies nearby
    In [Anxi Desert] & [Desert Ruins], shielding enemy would offer 20% of max HP or max shield/armor (if any) to itself and all enemies nearby
    In [Duo Fjord] & [Shoreside Valley], shielding enemy would offer 30% of max HP or max shield/armor (if any) to itself and all enemies nearby
  • Adjusted the hitbox of the weaknesses on [Ichthyosaurus Offspring] during phase 1


[h3]Daily Challenges:[/h3]
  • Daily challenge effect adjustment:
    The bonus effect [After revival, enemy's HP -50% while attack and movement speed greatly increase] of [Resurgency] is now a main effect
    The bonus effect [When you have different numbers of Legendary Scrolls and Cursed Scrolls, +30% lucky shot chance for each difference] of [Unpredictable Fortune] is tweaked. Now each difference would grant 40% lucky shot chance
    In [Economic Pressure], destroying summoned enemies would no longer deduct copper. And players cannot apply elemental effect to pots
    Normal ammo no longer dropped in [Elite Sniper]
  • Added titles of bonus effects in daily challenges


[h3]Bug Fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where the Lei Luo's talent [Surging Crit] could be triggered by injectors
  • Fixed an issue where the indicator for remaining enemy on the minimap is abnormal
  • Fixed an issue where UI may be glitched in certain levels when players are spectating
  • Fixed abnormal HP counter after dropping [Flesh and Bones]
  • Fixed the inconsistent model size of [Crown Prince] shown on the post-game report
  • Fixed an issue where [Wind God] may be stuck into the ground when player is down
  • Fixed an issue where players could hear the footstep when jumping right after dashing
  • Fixed an issue where in the [Guard the Seal] challenge, the projectiles shot near the steps would be unintentionally blocked in [Anxi Desert-Stage 2]
  • Fixed an issue where the initial aim position of [Double Caliber]'s projectile is abnormal
  • Fixed an issue where special effect of muzzle is missing when [Double Caliber] is firing
  • Fixed an issue where the special effect of stone enemy is missing when zooming in for 1s with a sniper and the inscription "When scope is on for 1s, hits deal Crit DMG"
  • Fixed an issue where [Prism] occasionally cannot break the portal barrier of a vault or pots
  • Fixed an issue where [Bone Dragon] would not benefit from the inscription "Magazine Capacity become 2. When the first shot kill the enemy, recover 1 ammo to the magazine. Otherwise, +200% Lucky Shot Chance to second shot" if firing too quickly
  • Fixed an issue where [Shrieker] cannot launch projectiles immediately upon firing during dual-wielding under certain circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where FPS counter would toggle on by default upon opening the game
  • Fixed inconsistent duration for dropping an item when running in different framerates
  • Fixed an issue where players cannot interact with weapons dropped under the feet of peddler
  • Fixed an issue where certain controllers would abnormally be disconnected in the game
  • Fixed some buttons on some certain types of mouse with multiple side buttons unable to bind properly
  • Fixed an issue where [Bomber], [Flame Bomber], [Lightning Bomber] and [Poision Bomber] wouldn't self explode when they are killed in midair
  • Fixed an issue where [Elite Beetle] may turn its back to players when charging
  • Fixed an issue where the bonus stacks may unintentionally reset in a run with daily challenge theme [Elite Sniper] and bonus effect [After killing an enemy, the next hit deals higher damage and the bonus stacks when killing consecutively.The bonus will be cleared after hitting but not killing the enemy.]
  • Fixed an issue where the occult scroll would be destroyed when players have got the particular scroll from other players beforehand, and try to buy the same scroll from a peddler, or obtain it from a red chest
  • Fixed an issue where players cannot choose other archives when one of them is corrupted

Update notes - 2/4/2021

  • Optimized the player information interface so that the classification of different heroes will no longer be obscured by the player level

  • Optimize the scroll "Thunder Step", "Lightning" affix and the lightning effect of "Lightning Trap"

  • Fixed the issue that the revival will be interrupted when the ascension Lightning Governor triggers Chain Lightning
  • Fixed the issue that weapons with multiple projectiles can not trigger the ascension Magical Supply

  • Fixed the issue that the sound effect is abnormal when Flowing Light hits monsters
  • Fixed the issue that if all magical balls of Elite Kappa are destroyed, the skill doesn't end in advance
  • Fixed the issue that when there are too many dropped Thunder Orbs of Lei Luo, FPS of the game will drop
  • Fixed the issue that players may be stuck in the ground and can't move in Duo Fjord-Stage 2
  • Fixed the issue that players can jump out of the map in Longling Tomb-Stage 4
  • Fixed the issue that players may be slammed into the stone by Lu Wu in Eternal Palace-Final stage
  • Fixed the issue that some dropped items are not accessible in Duo Fjord-Stage 2
  • Fixed the issue that some peddlers and golden treasure chests are spawned in inaccessible place in Longling Tomb-Stage 1
  • Fixed the issue that players can't complete Duo Fjord-Stage 1 as usual
  • Fixed the issue that monsters may be spawned in the stone in Duo Fjord-Stage 2
  • Fixed the issue that players can hardly interact with some chests in Longling Tomb-Stage 1
  • Fixed the issue that if players enter the battle when the logbook is not closed, they can't interact with any interface with the mouse
  • Fixed the issue that Shrieker is in the wrong place under third-person perspective
  • Fixed the issue that crosshair of the sniper is abnormal under certain conditions
  • Fixed the issue that some non-melee weapons will play the animation of melee weapons in third-person perspective
  • Fixed the issue that Nihilation Monk and Elite Monk's life steal isn't interrupted after players entering the vault
  • Fixed the issue that if players are killed when using Flowing Light's weapon skill, they probably can't switch the weapon and reload after being revived
  • Fixed the issue that the scroll "Thunder Step" and Crown Prince's "Energy Orb" will make the monster stand still
