Friday Progress Report 312



We are working on custom skin, eye and hair colors, right now we can change skin, eye and eyebrows, hair will probably use a HUE shift instead of fixed colors, so we can recycle all current hair textures and still allow the player to customize the color



There will probably be a test release in the nightly branch this week, where you will be able to customize your character as much as you want and switch genders at will, this is mostly for testing animations and clipping problems, the NPCs will still treat you as if you were Adam, proper character customization with NPCs recognizing your gender will come later.

The town remake is at about 60%, the building meshes are getting huge optimization with a lot of useless vertices being removed and faces simplified.

Friday Progress Report 311

My brother improved the character customization window, it is now split in segments, there is better treatment for incompatible parts and the hair no longer defaults to bald.



I caught Dengue, and spent the whole week bedridden, so unfortunately there was no progress on my end. I am better now.

Sorry for the tiny report, but this week has been really bad for us.

We are adding clothing customization for the character creator, there will be a Hue slider to modify the color of the entire piece, plus some clothing pieces will have parts that can be colored individually like the hearts in the image bellow.





The city overhaul is about 40% done, the central area and the library got the most changes so far.
