As part of the PC crowd, I'm pretty resigned to the fact that, even if its initial November release date sticks, we won't be getting GTA 6 over here in 2026. Rockstar Games will want to let its console version sit for a while, whether that's to ensure the PC version is as polished as possible, or simply to entice you to shell out for a PS5 or Xbox copy knowing that you'll probably buy it again when it comes to the Steam shores. If you need something to take your mind off that temptation, a new Rockstar Games sale is just the ticket.

Rockstar's Agent was compromised because open worlds and spies don't mesh well, Ex-GTA writer Dan Houser says

Cancelled Rockstar espionage flick Agent ended up being filed away without releasing because the studio found a spy narrative impossible to reconcile with their open-world approach to games, according to long-time GTA writer Dan Houser. If the name Agent isn't ringing any bells for you, Rockstar announced what would've been their take on a Bond-style spy game at E3 2009, attaching a PS3 exclusive tag to it. It might not be the mid to late 2000s right now, but that's not for a lack of trying on the behalf of publishers keen to get us all playing the likes of Oblivion and Gears of War again. As it turns out, Rockstar Games might be on that list too, with a leaker having claimed a GTA 4 port for modern hardware could drop this year.

We still don't know GTA 6's exact release date, and even the endless cries for Rockstar to release a second trailer feel like they've died down from their moon-obsessed peak. Take-Two's been pretty open about this radio silence being a part of its plans, and now one of GTA 4's key devs has said that not only does he reckon those plans are the right call, if it were up to him, GTA 6 wouldn't get a second trailer at all.
