Tire-Seeking Missiles: Ballistics on the Bluffs

A new level for the full version! In this one, Tire Friend will navigate up a series of grassy cliffs while being bombarded with missiles and laser rings. Or maybe he won't, if he's not very good at it!

There are also plenty of secrets and shortcuts.

And there may be tweaks to it moving forward. There always are!

Also some bug fixes and adjustments to some of the levels and options. Also, the level order. This whole thing ups some of the requirements on later ones, but if you've already cleared those later ones, you can still access them.

Let me know if you run into any problems. Or if you have any suggestions.

More to come. Happy tiring!

So, about those ranks...

A couple notes:
  • Ranks are twice as hard to grab now. S rank is 20k points rather than 10k as before. A rank is 10k rather than 5k. And so on and so forth. Please don't hate me!
  • And even then, S is kids' stuff. There's a cool new ranking above S. All you have to do is clear a stage. With 20k points. After grabbing all of the Golden Hubcaps in the stage in one go. With both Challenges (Options > Gameplay) active. Meaning no powerups, no checkpoints, and a slowly leaking tire that gets harder and harder to control. It's verified possible!
  • Oh, and rebalancing, level tweaks, and bug fixes.

All of the above is in the full and demo versions. Full version havers should get another new level pretty shortly, too.

As always, let me know your thoughts.

Happy tiring!

Achievements: Now you've got bragging rights!

There are a couple of achievements in the full game, with more on the way. Now, you can show all of your friends how great you are!

Let me know what you'd like to see in terms of achievements, if anything broke, and so on.

Happy tiring!

Tire Friend is taking part in the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Fest!

That's right: Tires have to do with transportation! Celebrate that fact by letting all of your friends know that they can nab Tire Friend for something like 56 cents between Sep 16-23!

Rebalancing, level tweaks, and a little bit more!

Some more adjustments based on more feedback. And some that weren't.

The Golden Hubcaps (which are used to unlock levels) have been reworked a little bit. There are a total of 10 in each level, down from 15. Level unlock requirements have been adjusted accordingly. The S rank doesn't nab you a Hubcap anymore -- it's basically another kind of "collectible" for each level -- though it's also harder to get.

In my own testing, save games port right on over.. though you may have to collect one or two of them again since they've been reordered internally. Let me know if anything breaks. We're still in Early Access, right?

Also, other things. Some camera and lighting oddities have been fixed. All of the levels so far have received at least minor adjustments. There's some new music that's beginning to replace some of the placeholder stuff (though it might get reordered / repurposed). New transition screen. And so on.

I'm always open to suggestions. New level should be coming soon for the full version.

Happy tiring!
