Firemen Update 1 Testing Release Notes

Please read before playing :

This is the Pre-release of the final version of the Firemen update part 1. Over the next week I will be filling out the first side of Canton County with the remaining props, and emergencies. I will be doing bug fixes, map loading optimization, and vehicle handling tuning. The Tiller is not yet perfect but we will keep adjusting it until it is. Federal Q is still a work in progress, and we are trying to make it perfect as well. Overall this update is the first of many that will completely change the game for the better. I will be doing a devblog sometime within the next two weeks with Update part 2 features, and additions.

The Build will remain in testing branch for the remainder of this week as I need to update the store page with new photos, and videos otherwise I am breaking steam TOS by showing content no longer in the game. Expect some more vidoes, and photos as I develop. I am off work Wednesday, and Thursday this week so I will be streaming development, releasing updates on those days.

Tiller Demonstration + Weekly Update

First and foremost I will talk about the ETA, and Current Progress of the Firemen update part 1

- Coding wise it is about 99.9 percent complete, just need to tie up some loose ends of code. The new fire system is fully functional from start to finish, and works better than expected. It also optimized the networking by like 400 times. Which means I can expand the player count soon.
- Canton County Phase 1 is almost completed. I expect to completely finish Station 3, and 2's area this week/coming weekend. I am aiming to release Part 1 of the update sometime during the weekend of the 29th. Obviously a loose placeholder date. so things could either speed up or take longer.
- I will be working on getting all the single levels updated with the new fire system. Wild land will also be updated with the new system so you will never have the issue of the fire not starting again. Wild land will be getting a massive update in the future.

Overall progress is good. I took the last 3 days off from working on the game to come back refreshed to prevent burnout. Woodpecker just about finished the airport level which will be added/revealed during it's respected update. Bakon has finished the first part of the Tiller integration, only a few minor bugs to fix. He will be working on the federal Q next, then the hose.

I'm really excited for the next few updates as it will completely refresh the game, and finally give it the replayability needed to sustain an active player base as well as give the Youtubers enough variety in the calls to make it an actual series. Just know I am going at my own pace to make sure everything gets done correctly, and smooth. I have a good game plan in my head on the direction I will be taking the game. ETA for Part 2 and 3 of the Firemen update are through out February, and Airport + Command Update will be in March. I'm going to try to release 1-2 Major updates a month.

Weekly Update

Just another daily update

Canton County should finish phase 1 of the map designing process within the next few days. Which is just the general placement of buildings, and layout of the map. Phase 2 is where I go back over, and figure out where all the emergency locations will be, start adding the interiors. Phase 3 will be polishing the map, and optimization

My vision I had of the map has been constantly evolving throughout the last week, and I feel I really nailed the rural atmosphere I was going for. Once Canton County is polished enough for a public default release, I will be able to move onto finishing the city map up. Keep in mind both of these maps will be getting more, and more emergencies added to them as time goes on.

As for the actual firemen update it is nearing completion. I estimate I should have it out on the default branch within the next few weeks. The Testing Branch will be updated as I go.

Next devblog I do will be showing off the Tiller, and Federal in Action. I do not have an ETA of when that will be. We are taking our time with this update as this is going to mark a new era for ITF. I plan on moving the game to alpha status in a few months as well once all the base systems are complete.

An early version of Canton County + City is on the testing branch now. The purpose is to allow you guys to explore the maps. Please do not report bugs in the test build.
