Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot is a new installment in the dystopian Despotism franchise that mixes post-apocalyptic fiction, dark humor, and pop culture references. The fourth millennium. Humankind is done for. The surviving fraction is ruled by Despot, a cruel AI eager for hideous experiments. A blob of goo created by Despot to engineer artificial human beings has become sentient and risen up against its creator. This blob of goo goes by the name of Slime and desires one thing only: сhaotic violence.
GAME FEATURES
• An elaborate system of obtaining abilities & deck-building mechanics. Abilities that you add to your deck are the ones that will appear in the shop during your next run. Experiment with ability combos to achieve the maximum possible level of mass destruction! Spill acid aroundπŸ§ͺ, obliterate puny humans with an AK-47πŸ”«, summon obedient zombies🧟, and even throw exploding watermelonsπŸ‰.
 • SH*T-TONS of enemies. We wanted to redefine the definition of "the number of mobs on the screen" and put legions of Despot's creatures against you, from humans with chainsaws and laser-wielding robots to carnivorous tomatoes and gigantic brains. Keep an eye on that boss timer and be prepared!
 • 10 challenging levels, one more brutal than the other. Defeat bosses, progress through the Despot's dungeon, unlock new ability cards, and upgrade your Slime, making it more powerful and resilient.
 • Different starter Slime versions & meta upgrades. Select the blob of slime that suits your playstyle the most (fast, slow & tanky, or a summoner) and make it more powerful by manipulating DNA points earned during dungeon runs. Upgrade your health, armor, damage, or ability capacity to wreak maximum havoc.

Have fun, puny humans! The game is in Early Access, so our team welcomes any and all feedback from you. Feel free to share your thoughts on the forums.

Hail (or death to?) Despot!

King of the Hill Season 18 | Fresh Mutations, New Enemies in "Director's Cut"

UPDATE 1.8
β€’ New Mutations β€’
1. Explosive Magic β€” exploding projectiles for Mages. Activation chance: 30%;
 2. Pet-Friendly Vampirism β€” your summons can now drink blood and heal themselves;
 3. Shield of Dark Forces β€” Cultists gain a large bonus to armor when summoning tentacles;
 4. Blood Magic β€” tentacles gain a bonus to attack speed for each wounded unit on your army;
 5. Magical Blood β€” mana is spent instead of health (only for Mages, Healers, and Cultists);
 6. Spatial Reasoning β€” more rooms per floor! Starts working from the next floor after collecting the mutation;
 7. Poison Sweat β€” there is a chance your enemies will get poisoned while attacking your army.
β€’ New Enemies in Director's Cut and Updated Starter Teams β€’
We continue to update the Director's Cut mode! Now there are 7 more enemies, and the first couple of floors have become a bit more difficult. And in general, the packs of monsters you can meet in this mode have become more diverse. We won't spoil what exactly has changed, and invite you puny humans to explore the hardest version of d'Spot's dungeon on your own.

In addition, we have updated the starter teams. Some of them are stronger and hopefully, there will now be more variety in how you start early. Here's what's changed:
 • Cannon Fodder: switched a newbie to Excalibur;
 • Sportspeople: added the Paddle Ball guy;
 • Cosplay: switched Excalibur to Chainsaw.
We also wanted to add a Healer to the Classic starter team, but then remembered the main purpose of starter teams is to cause pain and suffering, after all. What if new players think that Despot's Game is actually easy to play? That'd be a disaster, punies, you gotta agree. Still, if you think we should still add that Healer guy, let us know in the comments!
β€’ Item balance changes β€’
'The GOOfy Misadventures of Slime' Episode 2: Abilities

Hi again, puny hums.

Slime Time! Konfa Games here to chat about Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot, our upcoming deck-building bullet heaven. We called this series of posts "Misadventures" for a damn good reason, punies. Slime is destined to frequently meet its demise at the hands of puny human fists, swords, and chainsaws. More often than not, though, it will be the humans who meet their end! And not only the humans, since Slime's arch-enemy, Despot, has a plethora of creatures under his control.

We've decided to shed some light on how Slime's ability system works, which is precisely what you'll use to orchestrate a legit genocide against Despot's abominations.

☣️The GOOfy Misadventures of Slime☣️
Episode 2: Abilities 🏹

"slime shoot! slime bang! slime strong!"
Anyway, let's get started. In our previous episode of 'The GOOfy Misadventures', we introduced you to Slime and his basic mechanics. Today, why don't we talk about how Slime kills?

When Slime levels up, a Shop pick-up appears nearby. When you collect it, tokens are awarded, which you can use to purchase ability cards (well, um, cards that give you certain abilities.) Don't forget to upgrade the Shop: the higher its level, the cooler and wider the range. Pssst, you can wait for a few levels until the upgrade gets cheaper! πŸ‘‡

We have dozens of badass abilities in store for you; not to list all of them here, let's mention a few. πŸ‘‡

 • Scytherang (a huge scythe boomerang)
 • Slime Minion
 • Nuggets of Darkness
 • Watermelon Launcher (exploding watermelons)

Be smart when buying. Purchase an ability three times, and you'll level it up to Lvl 2. Collect three identical level 2 abilitiesβ€”you've got a powerful Lvl 3 one. Purchased abilities can be sold for some tokens. Experiment, and don't hesitate to get rid of weaker abilities in favor of stronger ones!

Abilities that appear in the Shop are those in your current deck. You can view and edit your decks in the 'Decks' window. It can be accessed from the main menu or the Slime selection screen. Unlocked abilities are displayed at the top, and your decks are at the bottom of the screen. As you acquire new abilities, don't forget to update your deck or create a new oneβ€”experiment! πŸ‘‡

'The GOOfy Misadventures of Slime' Episode 1: Introducing Slime!

Hi hi, puny humans!

You know what time it is! It's Slime Time yet again, and our team's here to chat about that green nonchalant dude from our upcoming action roguelite Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot everyone's been excited about. Yes, we're talking about Slime, and today, we want to kick off a series of posts about its misadventures.

☣️The GOOfy Misadventures of Slime☣️
Episode 1: Introduction πŸ‘‹

"sup y'all, name's Slime, and I just want to destroy stuff"
'So what the hell is Slime?' you may ask. Well, in technical terms, it's a blob of slime. But not just some blob! Slime is the result of a wild experiment by its former master, Despot.

See, it was initially just some goo used for creating artificial humans. But then it came to life! We reckon it might even have a soul now, lol. Anyway, here's the deal: it is on a mission to defeat Despot, break out of his dungeon, and *do random stuff*. Or destroy the planet. Honestly, it's hard to understand what's inside that jelly Slime uses as a brain.

Turns out our master Despot caught wind of Slime's plan and sent legions of genetically engineered creatures after its sticky ass. We guess it's worth mentioning these legions include puny humans, too! Despot can make as many of those meatbags as he wishes, so it's not going to be easy for the gooey fella.

But guess what! As seen in the GIF above, Slime's got a trick or two up its sleeve. The green guy's squishy "body" can absorb different weapons, from AK-47s to boomerangs to watermelons πŸ‰. Yeah, watermelons can be downright dangerous when flung at the right angle!

Anyway, Slime's power-ups come in the form of cardsβ€”cards that it unlocks, adds to its own deck, and buys when leveling up. It can assemble up to five decks and switch 'em out. πŸ‘‡

As an advanced (but still kinda dumb) pile o' goo, Slime can also slurp up pick-ups from the dungeon floor: There's an excavator arm that makes our slimy renegade temporarily invincible, health tanks, a road sign that gives a speed boost, gumball machines that explode turn dozens of living things into bloody pΓ’tΓ©, and barrels with radioactive waste. πŸ‘‡

Speaking of the radioactive barrels ☒️: they seem to alter Slime's DNA! Collect those to make it more powerful. πŸ‘‡

Now, all these upgrades and power-ups help our sticky "friend" fight off hordes of disposable minions. πŸ‘‡

A thousand or two dead humans is pocket money for master Despot, so Slime should expect PLENTY MORE where that came from. But Slime doesn't care: He likes nothing more than random violence! Anyways, folks, we hope you had a blast getting to know our green chaotic bastard.
Please do wishlist Slime 3K: Rise Against Despotβ€”the release is happening pretty soon!
