Ducks' Wrath News

Today marks 3 years since the release of Duck's Wrath! This game represents my first steps in my childhood dream of becoming a game developer. It's been this year where this dream feels closer with my first commercial success. The 18th of April "Idle Biceps" (an Idler Clicker game) was released and contrary to all my expectations it got some traction reigniting my faith in this crazy dream.

Now, I am 23 days away from my biggest Steam release: "Idling Gears". A game that was born in December of last year and has surpassed the crazy amount of 12 thousand wishlists! 🤯

I also released "Winnie-the-Pooh's book writing speedrunner". Which is probably the most spontaneous game I've made as it went from random thought to reality in less than a month.

Starting January 5th the game will go from 0.99 USD to 1.99 USD, and will have and adjusted price to other currencies following the updated Steam recommendations.

Until then, you can buy the game with a 51% discount at 0.49 USD in the ongoing Winter Sale.

The highlight of this small update is of course, Steam Deck compatibility!

While Valve hasn't officially reviewed the game, I have tested it in my own Steam Deck, and with this update it seems like everything is working perfectly!

Bug fixes:
Fixed an inconsistency in moving ice blocks speed, that made the game harder and prevented some shortcuts on speed challenges.
Fixed a bug where breakable ice would remain after being deleted in the level editor.

New feature:
You can click on a user's name in the challenge leaderboards (official challenges or custom ones) you will access their steam profile (they need to have uploaded their score in the past year, or have opened the game recently as in the first versions the steam ID of the user was not uploaded).

Two years ago I launched my first video game into Steam. Seeing that it was something possible motivated me in my indie dev adventure. Up until today I have published 3 games. "Duck's Wrath", "Running in the Y2K", and "Blacksmith Weapon Merchant". The last two were released for free as they were simple games created as learning exercises.

This free games, have really taught me a lot to get better at developing games and will for sure help me in my next more ambitious projects, "rog N' mon" and "Cards from the West" which already have a Steam page so you can add them to your wishlist.

Going back to Ducks, I am preparing a small update that will polish some aspects of the game. Thinks that I have found or have been reported and I want to have them fixed. You will have more information about those changes when the update drops.
