Before we begin this month's development log, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for being able to share this journey with all of you. We are truly thankful for your incredible support.
We are thrilled to announce that the DUBIUM Early Access will be available from June 14th! Some of you might be curious about why we are launching as an Early Access title and what kind of new content you can expect in the future. So, let's address some of the questions you may have.
Q: How much will DUBIUM be and when is it going to be released?! 📆
A: DUBIUM will be priced at $14.99, and the Early Access version will be released on June 14th. In just a few weeks, you will experience the thrill and ecstasy of DUBIUM!
Q: Why Early Access? 🤔
As a survival deception game, DUBIUM involves many different aspects that must come together to ensure the game is both complete and enjoyable. To achieve this, we believe the best approach is to incorporate feedback from many players and the community to further improve the game prior to its official launch. We think it is critical to have players and the community be a part of this very important process.
During the Early Access, we plan to optimize and improve it based on feedback from our players. Through this process, we aim to gain a better understanding of players' preferences and listen carefully to their suggestions. The core gameplay in the Early Access version will remain consistent with the final release, but we plan to introduce more content, such as new maps and modes, in the full launch.
Q: What is a Frontier Pass, and how much does it cost? 🎫
The Frontier Pass is available for those who want to support the ongoing development of DUBIUM and for those who want to customize their favorite frontier with cool cosmetics! The Frontier Pass offers both a free track and a premium track.
During the Final Beta Test, we had feedback regarding concerns about the growth gap caused by the Pass. Regarding this concern, Gadget Dice will only be obtainable as reward in the Free Track. On the other hand, the Premium will mainly reward players with cosmetics.
By purchasing the Frontier Pass, you'll be supporting our development team as we continue to create new content for DUBIUM.
Q: What else can I look forward to in upcoming Seasons? 🤩
As we progress through Early Access, we plan to update DUBIUM with new content each season, approximately every three months. The content may include new characters, cosmetics, and new content. Moreover, we may have new maps and modes in the future.
Q: Will there be new language support in the Early Access? 📝
A: In Early Access, you can now enjoy DUBIUM in Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese. However, initially, text support will be available in the game, and we plan to add new localizations as we progress through Early Access
Q: Will DUBIUM support gamepad, consoles, Steam Deck, and an Invert Mouse option in Early Access?
A: Based on feedback received since the demo during last year's Next Fest: OCT, we have just implemented the highly requested "Invert Mouse Option" for mouse users. On the other hand, we are planning to optimize the gamepad controls for console and Steam Deck users later in the Early Access phase.
