What's New in Version 2.0.5

This update has a number of bug fixes and improvements, including:
  • Updated the wording of Draw Towards a Consuming Void to match the latest version.
  • Spirit Foresight may be used during Ravage to assign Damage.
  • Dahan Insurrection now shows the number of lands where Town/City outnumber Dahan, along with the number required to win. Also, improved the user experience around the end-game when you reveal the Victory card.
  • Fixed problems with using the main undo button after Stone's Unyielding Defiance's third growth group.
  • Draw Towards a Consuming Void no longer causes the game to get stuck if played by the threshold of Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power, or if Settle Into Hunting-Grounds was in effect.
  • Fixed a problem where joined lands could be considered adjacent to themselves in some cases (e.g. with Bloodwrack Plague).
  • Isolate now works properly with Resourceful Populace.
  • The game no longer gets stuck when Quit the Farmed Lands occurs with Settle Into Hunting-Grounds in effect.
  • Settle Into Hunting-Grounds no longer prevents other Spirits' Presence from being moved.
  • Fixed a problem where Gradual Corruption would not let you pay Energy properly in some situations.
  • Search For New Lands will no longer push an Explorer into an Isolated land.
  • Fixed a visual glitch that could occur when moving Presence in the same land where it already was.
  • The "Unlock the Gates" achievement now requires 52 thresholds, since Growth Through Sacrifice has been removed from the card pool.
  • Improved how Settle Into Hunting-Grounds works with various Beast Events and Command Beasts.
  • If A Thousand Small Struggles causes the Blight card to flip, then you undo, it no longer causes the event to occur again.
  • Fixed a problem where Smaller Ports Spring Up could incorrectly add a town when there are multiple Coastal Cities on a board.
  • The damage from Discord no longer incorrectly triggers Let Them Break Themselves Against the Stone.
  • Flipping the Blight card during Gradual Corruption, then using undo, no longer causes the Event Blight to be added twice.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer allows Ocean's Hungry Grasp to move Presence to an Inland land when it expires.
  • Using undo after flipping Erosion of Will no longer generates too much Fear.
  • Using Skies Herald the Season of Return in multiplayer can no longer cause the game to get stuck.
  • Fixed a problem where the third growth option of Vengeance as a Burning Plague could lead to the game being stuck after undo in certain situations.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer allows you to target a land with the Leather Sack Invader Benefit.
  • Undoing no longer causes Manifest Incarnation to incorrectly Ravage twice in some situations.
  • Fixed a multiplayer issue where Dahan movement during growth would not trigger Dahan Insurrection damage properly for all players, leading to desynchronization.
  • After using Dream of the Untouched Land, starting Second Wave no longer shows an incorrect message.
  • When a Ravage would cause exactly enough Blight to flip the Blight Card, the order is now choosable by the player.
  • Fixed a multiplayer issue where using a set-aside Talons of Lightning in Second Wave could get the game stuck in an unnecessary vote.
  • Dahan Insurrection now properly counts joined lands as a single land for the victory condition.
  • Dream of the Untouched Land now properly allows you to move Presence to any land on the new board if you cannot add Presence from your tracks.
  • Lands joined by Weave Together the Fabric of Place now correctly skip Invader actions when they are supposed to.
  • Fixed a problem where Sweden Escalation could incorrectly apply to a Stage III card when multiple Invader Cards were Explored.

What's New in Version 2.0.4

This update has various bug fixes, including:
  • Certain events such as Sacred Sites Under Threat, New Cash Crops Take Hold, and Lesser Spirits Imperiled now work properly with the last threshold of Hold the Island Fast with a Bulwark of Will.
  • Fixed some cases where Isolate did not stop England regular or High Immigration builds.
  • The Habsburg reminder card is now in the correct place in the Invader Deck when playing without events.
  • Too Many Monsters now works properly with Settle Into Hunting-Grounds.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer causes too much damage to be dealt with Vengeance counting Blight as Badlands.
  • Hard-Working Settlers no longer automatically chooses one option in some situations.
  • Destroying a Habsburg Durable town with Heart of the Wildfire presence placement, then undoing, now properly restores the town.
  • Fixed a problem where Dream of the Untouched Land could get stuck adding a new Island Board in certain situations.
  • Blight removed by Scarred and Stony Land no longer can go to the France Adversary card instead of to the box.
  • Dire Metamorphosis no longer partially applies its effects twice if you flip the Blight card with it, then undo.
  • The Hunting Parties event no longer generates Fear when choosing not to treat Presence as Beasts (with Settle Into Hunting-Grounds).
  • Returning a Presence that unlocks a Reclaim 1 spot with Numinous Crisis no longer causes the Reclaim 1 to not function properly in later Spirit Phases.

  • Second Wave no longer causes the game to get stuck in some cases.
  • The Habsburg 5 reminder card now properly activates when Rising Interest in the Island discards the top card of the Invader deck and reveals it.
  • Heart of the Wildfire no longer spuriously activates its special rule in incorrect situations.
  • Skies Herald The Season of Return no longer allows Ocean presence to be added inland.
  • Call to Guard no longer deals damage when pieces are replaced.
  • Using Draw Towards a Consuming Void in multiplayer no longer causes the game to get stuck in certain situations.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer causes 2 explorers to be added to the joined land in the Explore step.

  • Added a button to sort Spirits in different ways (alphabetical, complexity, expansion) in the New Game screen.
  • When Invaders deal 0 damage when Ravaging a land, it will no longer be increased by Habsburg level 6.
  • Fixed a problem where Nerves Fray could cause the game to get stuck in certain situations.
  • Fear Cards such as Depart the Dangerous Land & Belief Takes Root no longer allow you to remove Invaders from incorrect lands.
  • Fixed a problem where Weave Together the Fabric of Place did not work properly with Ravage in some situations.
  • Fixed a freeze that could occur when Sweden's escalation effect replaced a damaged Dahan and Stone's Unyielding Defiance was in the game.
  • Let Them Break Themselves Against The Stone now can get a damage increase from Gift of Furious Might.
  • Stone's Unyielding Defiance no longer incorrectly prevents a cascade from Sweden's Heavy Mining.
  • If a land has multiple identical Invaders, Nerves Fray no longer adds Strife to the same one twice without letting you choose properly.
  • The Terror of a Slowly Unfolding Plague allows Fear to be generated even if Disease is being ignored this turn.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place now properly causes Habsburg Towns to lose their Durability if Blight is in the joined land.
  • Sucking Ooze now properly costs 0 Energy.
  • Hold the Island Fast with a Bulwark of Will no longer offers to pay energy when a land is protected by Infinite Vitality.

Spirit Foresight has been enhanced to include a reminder list for global and permanent effects. Press the button at the right of the screen to try it out!


Event Cards now prompt before resolving each section. If you prefer the previous streamlined experience, you can disable the prompt in the Options screen.


The Branch & Claw card pool now has the following changes based on official errata:
  • The Blight Card "Tipping Point" has been removed.
  • The Minor Power Card "Growth Through Sacrifice" has been replaced with "Roiling Bog and Snagging Thorn".

This update also includes many fixes and improvements, including:
  • When a Spirit is paying an amount of Energy, you can choose the amount directly from a new Energy payment menu.
  • Viewing a full Spirit panel also shows their current Elements on the left hand side.
  • Added 5 new playmat options (3 for owners of Horizons of Spirit Island, 2 for owners of Jagged Earth).
  • Disabling Branch & Claw in Play Options now works fully.
  • Fixed a problem where the Power phase could end prematurely in multiplayer.
  • Fixed a freeze that could occur with Gift of Furious Might in Rituals of the Destroying Flame.
  • Moving Dahan with Sun-Bright Whirlwind's special rule now triggers Constant Raiding properly in Dahan Insurrection.
