Golden Light Dev Log #4: Almost there, new stuff

Hello everyone!

It's been crazy few weeks since Steam Game Festival, and to everyone who checked out our demo during the festival or even wishilisted the game - thank you! We hope you enjoyed that little peek at Golden Light and we'll try not to dissapoint you and provide more weird stuff.
Early Access
July 10th is just a week away from us, and this means that Golden Light will go live and will be available for anyone to purchase. It's crazy to even think about it! While we're very excited - there's still a lot of work to be done, since this is just the begining for GL, and we'll be glad if you join us on this journey of seeing the game evolve and adding a little piece of yourself into this wacky game by checking our constant updates, suggesting stuff and being a part of our community.

Previously, in the last Dev Log post we've made - we stated that the game will launch at 15$ USD (with regional pricing), but since then we've reviewed the price a bit and decided to stop at an even more fair price point for Early access - 12.99$. Once again, the 15% launch discount is still intact, so if you'll decide to support us right at EA launch - it will be even more profitable for you.

If you're not from US and have questions about regional price in your country - let us know and we'll deliver the answer.
What's new?
As always in these posts - here's what we've been working on for the past few weeks:

 • More mementos: If you prefer to use a specific weapon - we got good news for ya! Now you can find a memento that gives a damage/speed bonus to a specific weapon, be that a Pipe, an Axe, or a Blunderbuss! More than that, there're much more mementos in general, some may be really useful and other's - may come as weird at a first glance, but would work wonders combined with some other mementos in the game.
 • Wait, did you say blunderbuss? I did? I guess i did, i won't spoil too much, you'll find out on your own!
 • Time to get jazzy, welcome to the Meat Bar: From now on some floors will have a little bar area with musicians to play their jazzy tunes and a charming bartender to sell you some weapons.
 • Gamepad support: Yes, not much to say about that. If you prefer to play games with your gamepad - now you'll be able to play Golden Light this way as well!
 • UI rework: We've re-designed our UI a bit to make it more unique and stylish. Hope you'll enjoy!
 • Even more monsters: A screetching sentient blade will be waiting for you in the Gut.
 • Key rebinding: Speaks for itself. There're some buttons that you can't rebind, like movement on WASD, but other than that - make it more suitable for you! (For now it only works for keyboard - but we'll add controller rebinding in the future)
 • New status effect - Love: Don't you want somebody to love? Don't you need somebody to love? This new status effect will allow you to love and show your love to the inhabitants of the Gut, let's see how they react.
 • Meat traps: A meat trap that you can disarm, otherwise stepping on it would spread a negative status effect across the room. Look under your feet!
 • Spanish and German languages: Thanks to our community we've implemented Spanish and German translation into the game. It's not perfect for now, but we'll be continiously working on fixing any issues, making it more right for native speakers of those languages and also adding more languages in general!
 • Quests: Some NPCs will have a task for ya, do them a favor and they'll be at your service.
 • Cults: These living meat freaks are starting cults! Whether they prefer to breathe poison, constantly burn or suck your precious blood - talk to them and see what they can offer you, maybe even join a cult!
 • And even more! So much it's hard to list everything.

That's it for this update post, we'll see you in a week!
