v1.0 is now available!

Preface

Geometry Arena is now updated to v1.0.0!
At the same time, the game will be officially released tomorrow (June 1, Children's Day).
This announcement is only the update log of v1.0.0, for more information, please pay attention to the official release announcement tomorrow!

Overview
  • After two months of development, v1.0 is now available! Wish you could enjoy this new version!
  • Main changes include: graphic and music remake, rune workshop UI remake, performance optimization and game experience improvement, etc.
  • Due to there are many significant adjustments, the game being played may be affected. I apologize for that! And I recommend starting a new round of game to experience this new version.
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that the bullet trail particle sometimes works incorrect after splitting.
  • Fixed an issue that sound effects play incorrectly during bullet time.
  • Fixed an issue that penetrating bullets may cause jam in some cases.
  • Fixed an issue that the setting files are not saved after switching languages.
  • Fixed an issue that some objects may leave the wall too far.
  • Fixed an issue that when "The Swallower" is enabled, the enemies swallowed are considered to be killed by player.
  • Fixed an issue that the gun animation gets stuck when the soldier enable the skill module "Sapper".
  • Fixed some minor issues related to the savefile reading.
Optimizations
  • Improved the opening speed of upgrade library.
  • Optimized the performance of bullets and enemies.
  • Damage texts now disappear faster when the frame rate is too low.
  • Remade and simplified the collision box for all enemies.
  • Rewrote the collision logic of mines, thus significantly optimizing their performance
  • When Prism's bullet range >1000, the part over 1000 will be equivalently converted to bullet damage bonus.
Features
  • Player's base firing rate has increased from 5 to 6.
  • Player's base bullet damage decreased from 5 to 3.
  • Player's base bullet speed increased from 20 to 30.
  • Player's base range increased from 15 to 20.
  • Player's bullets are now twice as large in actual size as before.
  • Slightly decreased the influence of each system on bullet speed and bullet size .
  • For each system, decreased the influence on critical rate, but increased the influence on critical effect.
  • The explosion of mines and grenades can now trigger crits and boost the blast damage according to your critical effect.
  • The base HP of normal enemies/elites/Bosses decreased from 15/180/585 to 10/120/390.
  • Ranger's dash speed increased from 200%/250%/300% to 300%/450%/600%.
  • Ranger's buff duration increased from 0.9s/1.8s/2.7s to 3s/4.5s/6s.
  • Soldiers now have a move speed x 125% bonus.
  • Adjusted difficulty option "Easy Mode": no longer increase the fragment drop rate, but increase the star gain from x60% to x80%.
  • Adjusted difficulty option "Giant Country": enemy HP increased from x270% to x300%, size decreased from x300% to x200%, and now speed x80%.
  • Adjusted difficulty option "Huge Crowd": now it only doubles the number of enemies summoned. And star gain increased from x110% to x120%.
  • Adjusted difficulty option "Puffer Arena": maximum bonus of enemy size decreased from 3x to 2.5x.
  • Decreased the base price of upgrades. Upgrade prices for the four ranks have been decreased from 7.5/13.5/27/63 to 5/10/20/40.
  • Now the price of upgrades increase depends on the number of fragments you spent, not the number of upgrades you hold.
  • Adjusted the legendary upgrade "burst": the explosion range and damage increased, but no longer affected by double-edged swords.
  • Normal enemies' fragment drop rate increased from 0.5 to 1, and elites' fragment drop rate increased from 1.5 to 2.
  • Elites' stars drop rate increased from 3x to 10x, and bosses' stars drop rate increased from 10x to 30x.
  • Removed 6 difficulty levels such as F+, E+, D+, C+, B+, A+, and optimized other difficulty levels.
  • Remade the difficulty level after MAX: now, there are more challenges and more stars.
  • Adjusted the difficulty curve of normal mode to make it fit better with the current version.
  • Bosses' size expanding effect due to losing HP was halved.
  • Lowered the proficiency requirements for some Tornado skill mods.
  • Added 2 new Tornado skill mods.
  • Remake of the ranger skill mod "step back" to "dodge": change the direction of dash to the same direction as you move.
  • Fragments in wander mode immediately and unconditionally fly towards your character now.
  • Adjusted the spawn points of enemies so that fewer enemies will be directly bounced off walls after spawn.
  • No bullet change, bullet effect and missile upgrades will now appear in the upgrade store when using Swordmaster or Prism.
UI
  • Remade the UI of Rune Workshop, now it is more user-friendly and clearer.
  • Rune recycling is now available in the "Store" page of Rune Workshop.
  • Now, you can switch pages by pressing Tab in Rune Workshop and Library.
  • Optimized the duration and disappearance speed of the floating hint.
  • Removed the interface bloom, now only objects glow with light effects.
  • Now, "Simple HP Display" displays HP as a whole bar.
  • Enemies no longer glow in the enemy library.
  • Added a new slider to adjust the "Glow Intensity" in the settings.
  • Now, the BGM intensity will change in real time according to the position of the “Music” slider when you drag it in the settings.
Graphics
  • Adjusted some of the particle effects of the bullets.
  • Adjusted the colors in various systems.
  • SMAA is now enabled in the game (previously no anti-aliasing).
  • Shortened the duration of the explosion particle effects when bullets are destroyed.
  • Adjusted the speed of color change in the title page so that it is now synchronized with the new BGM.
  • New rendering pipeline has been used in the game, which makes the game clearer and more beautiful. Now you can adjust the glow intensity in settings.
Others
  • The new BGM system is now available, including 5 new music. And now, the game will intelligently adjust the music in real time.
  • Compressed audio resources, so the game takes up 30% less hard drive space.
  • The "Damage Text" and "DPS Display" in the settings are now turned on by default in the new player's savefile.
  • Added a short tutorial, which will appear when you first enter the lobby.
  • Due to this major update, the data of leaderboard has been routinely cleared.
  • Adjusted and optimized some texts.
