The Days Gone mods have started flooding in now that it's on PC

Now that zombie open-world game Days Gone has arrived on PC, modders have quickly set to work adding their own enhancements and changes. Days Gone launched for PC less than two weeks ago, but there are already Reshade settings, weapon tweaks, and other customisations you can download to tailor the experience to your particular tastes.

If you're interested in getting a more cinema-style experience, you have a few options. The Romero Swarmers mod by Spooder slows the ambient solo freakers down to a classic zombie movie shamble, so they won't come hurtling at you as soon as they spot you. The mod doesn't change their speed while they're part of a horde, though - you'll still need to keep your wits about you in those situations.

You also might want to try the Dawn of the Dead Reshade settings by kyOuZz_-. This Reshade preset bumps up the contrast and sharpness, adding a little colour saturation but leaving some of the bleached feeling that Days Gone starts out with. The effect is reminiscent of Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake from 2004.

Sony leaked its own Uncharted 4 PC announcement and didn't even try to hide it

Normally I'd have a whole lot of things to say about 'rumours' and 'reports' and 'grains of salt' at the top of a story like this, but all that goes out the window when a publisher leaks its own announcement. Yes, Uncharted 4 is coming to PC, according to a publicly available financial report from Sony's PlayStation division.

In an 'off console' segment of Sony's gaming financial results, the company says that the Horizon Zero Dawn PC port has had an over 250% return on investment. Sony reckons that the port is successfully creating new fans, including those in regions that don't typically play console games.

Next to that, the company says there are "more PC releases planned", including Days Gone (released just after the period reflected in this report) and yes, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Sony has previously indicated that a selection of PlayStation Studios titles will continue to come to PC, but this is the first time we've seen specific word of any title beyond Days Gone.

- Bend Studio

Days Gone is Steam's top seller

PC players were waiting for their chance to check out Days Gone, it seems. The biker-zombie game is now Steam's top seller, outdoing Mass Effect, Resident Evil Village, and a highly anticipated upcoming game.

Bend Studio's open-world game has made sure Mass Effect Legendary Edition's reign at the top was a short one. BioWare's remastered space games slide down to second after just one week in the number one spot. Resident Evil Village, one of the other major releases from this month, moves down two positions, from second to fourth. Hit co-op game It Takes Two seems to be finally on the way out, after over two months in the chart, going from sixth to ninth.

Experiment 101's Biomutant, an action-adventure game that our Dustin Bailey enjoyed in his preview, debuts in third ahead of launch, and Subnautica: Below Zero manages to slip into fifth, a little over a week after releasing. Red Dead Redemption 2 is holding steady in sixth, on discount at the moment, and The Witcher 3 is eighth, also on discount, but at the considerably steeper rate of 80% off.
