Update 1.0.42 is out! I've FINALLY, fixed the save system. Recoded from scratch, the game will no longer accidentally delete your save, and respawning should work properly!

Thank you everyone who helped me fix it, especially the lovely folks in my Discord server! (which you should TOTALLYYY join, that's where I go to tease new stuff that I'm working on! (It is way easier than creating steam posts).

In terms of updates, Act 0 and 1 (2.0) are both going very well, I'm writing the soundtrack for it and it is INSANEEE. You will all love it so much!

Act 2 is coming along, Lucy is a pain in the butt and will be the death of me, but eh, it'll come out eventually.

I'm working on it as much as possible, but I'm also now a full-time college student so that's fun. Anyways you guys probably don't care, here are some vague screenshots...

Hello everyone! I've got some updates for the game and for the future! Let's get into it!

[h2]Fixed the black screen of doom![/h2]
I finally fixed a really big bug that has been plaguing the game, the black screen of doom bug has been fixed!

For those curious about the technical details, Venge uses a custom encryption to save and load the files, if the file was tampered with or something went horribly wrong, the decrypter couldn't read the file and the game would just freeze and crash. This has been fixed! I am sooo sorry to anyone who had this bug, you can now finally enjoy the game! :)

[h2]Act 2 News![/h2]
As it currently stands, the Act 2 release looks something like this:

The Act 0-2 soundtrack will be released on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc a few days early, you'll be able to listen to it and make predictions about the game and stuff. It'll be fun!

Then, Act 2 will be released as a DLC. I will probably drop the price of Act 1, Act 2 should be around $5, it depends on how long it takes to make. In addition, Act 0 (2.0) and Act 1 (2.0) will be released.

Act 0 (2.0) - You'll see massive improvements all over, the game will run smoother, the house will look and feel more realistic, you'll be able to explore more rooms inside the house and a lot more around the neighborhood. There will be a new phone sequence and bike ride as well. The act will stay structurally the same, but will just be 100x better. This is a 100% free update!

Act 1 (2.0) - You'll see MASSIVE improvements everywhere, Rotnic Entertainment is so much more detailed, there is actually a story that is so much easier to follow, the game will run smoother, there will be a ton of new rooms and a ton of awesome improvements. I've listed some screenshots below too. This update will also be free for anyone who already owns Act 1.

Venge has officially been a thing for 1 year! To celebrate, Act 0 and Act 1 are 50% off for 5 days!

Act 2 is in progress! It is taking a bit longer than expected, I am so sorry! Here are some things to look forward to:

• All of Act 0 will be completely updated. Way more rooms to explore, better gameplay, more scenes, etc.
  
• All of Act 1 will be completely updated too! A TON more rooms (we are talking a ton), a new wing that will be completely randomly generated. A ton more story and lore. Some bosses are going to get complete overhauls.
  
• Act 2 (if I do it right) will be INSANE. I am aiming for 2-3 hours, but that is just a loose guess. There will be maybe 7 bosses? I'm not entirely sure yet.
  
  
• Oh yeah, I am also making all of the music from now on, 100% alone. If I do it right, you won't notice a change at all! (This also means if you record videos of the game, first of all, thank you, you won't have to deal with messy copyright!)
  
  
• I am also remaking Act 0, 1, and title music! You will also get the option to use the original music if you so desire. All of the music for the game will come to streaming services, Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music, iTunes, etc.
  

And a CRAP ton more. The story is being updated massively and is sooo much more detailed, you guys will love it!
