Update 7.0 Alpha



The main theme of this update was global game optimization. All the knowledge and experience that I have at the moment was applied, but unfortunately the results were not revolutionary. Tests on various configurations show performance improvement from + 20% to + 100%. I am not happy with these results, as I expected the best result, but I gained a lot of experience and know in which direction to work further. In addition to optimization, I was not satisfied with the look of nature and especially water, a lot of work was also done in this direction.

Improvements

  • Improved and enriched nature.
  • Redesigned water, added mountain rivers and waterfalls.
  • Some of the cartoon objects are replaced with realistic ones.
  • Added more details in some locations.
  • 100% of the text is localized and 7 languages from the list are fully localized.
  • The weather changes smoothly.
  • Reduced the energy recovery effect on Energy Drink from 20 to 5.




Corrected mistakes

  • Fixed a bug where zombies could go through a brown pickup.
  • Fixed a bug where at the start of the game the sound of the effects was played at 100% regardless of the current settings.


Plans for the next updates

  • Implementation of a modular system for the construction of residential wagons.

  • Fixed a bug in which the lighting in 3 locations did not work correctly and the buildings were very dark.


Update 6.3 alpha

At the end, the error of loading the city location was fixed, which led to the player being thrown to the beginning of the location that the player had to leave. Other serious bugs were also fixed, you can see the list below.

Improvements

  • Improved map in tunnels. The player's location is now indicated on each map and another map has been added in the maze.
  • In the basements, individual ambient sound again.
  • Now you can close the bed interface by pressing the "use" button again.
  • Displays the percentage of loading the level.
  • It was decided to change the approach to localization, automatic translation has disappeared, cells that have not been translated are now colored blue with the caption "need to be translated". If the string is not translated, in the game, the string will be displayed in English.




Corrected mistakes

  • Fixed a bug where, when trying to drive to a city location, the player was thrown to the previous location, after which the train went underground.
  • Fixed a bug in which after loading the save, the player's HP was restored.
  • Fixed a bug with multiple zombies spawning at one point.
  • Fixed a bug where the train was spending fuel when loading the transition between locations.
  • Fixed a bug in which an eternal night would come if the player died in a tunnel or basement.
  • Fixed a bug where snow passed through roofs.
  • Fixed a bug in which the volume of the siren and firing in the first location was not adjusted.
  • Fixed a bug in which it was possible to spend all the resources by pressing the enter button while doing something at any workbench.
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to open third-party inventory when the bed interface is activated.
