Update for July - New 'Unforeseen' stand alone chapter

The Unforeseen Chapter is the first new content since release, a stand alone chapter available as soon as your Director General has passed probation.

Deal with problems foreign and domestic, familiar, and weird. Sometimes all at once.

Small changes
- Positive news gives a slightly higher poll kick, making the overall game slightly easier.

(New content is in English)

Update: March

Good afternoon Director General,

As a surprise addition to this update, we made a fix for the 'black screen' problem that still hits a few players with either second screens or a wider variety of refresh rates. Apologies if you were hit with this and had to make compromises to see the game.

Quite a few of our newer players requested a bit more guidance through early plots. These will appear via your contact if you have not made progress.

And of course the major bugbear of probation - you can now skip this as long as you have had one concluded run of the game.

And more to look forward to. We are hoping to release a standalone new chapter in April, with a set of brand new plots. I can also see that an OST will shortly be released, so look out for that.

Now get back to work.

  • Bug Fix: The ‘black screen’ problem caused when the game is run from certain monitors or screen.
  • Quality of life addition: Skip probation. By default, after you have completed a game (in any way) subsequent runs will no longer include the first probation plot. There is an option on the main menu to start with probation if you want to.
  • Extra help for the plots in the first chapter. For each plot there is an extra dialogue that will play if it looks like you are a bit lost. The narrative does not tell you what to do, though if you choose ‘?’ it almost does. (English language only - for now)
  • Bug fix: More Japanese language characters returned to main set.
  • Quality of life addition: Click targets for Train and Office building added. Phone click target bigger.
  • Quality of life addition: Skip animation is default after the first click request to skip. (Except in archives.)
  • Minor music tweaks.
  • Weak explanation of why the NAS disappears in the Sol Fury plot (I’m so sorry).

Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries

Update for Floor 13

This is an important message from the Ministry.

The current update (Mangetout) fixes the problem where Search teams did not return after being assigned. The department staff in question have been forced to confess prompted to improve their work habits and return to the departments promptly. This should vastly improve the DG's experience, and we apologise for this inconvenience.

As has been noted, the game ending was - 'very challenging'. We have decided to reduce the difficulty to merely 'challenging'. Indeed, it should now be possible to finish the game.

There have also been one other requested improvement - you can now alter the quality as well as the resolution of the game to suit your equipment. The control for this is in the ESC menu.

I also hear that the traffic lights outside the building have been turned back on as required by London traffic health and safety law.

Trading Cards & Points Shop Items have also been implemented.

The next update will address the most requested feature - skipping probation.

Thank you for your patience, and best wishes for the Season*
