Mask Mania Event!

Heisters!

Mask Mania is now LIVE! 🎭

As you may know, we’re running a community event in-game, and by taking part you’ll be able to unlock 1 to 4 different masks that will be added to your account at a later date.

Here are some things to keep in mind:
  • Between July 16th, 18:00 CEST, and 21st, 23:59 CEST, play a heist!
  • Earning cash will progress the corresponding mask
  • Track progress on the event website. (updates about every 10 minutes)
  • Anyone participating in the events will receive the masks unlocked when they are released.
  • Anyone not participating can unlock the masks via in-game hardcore challenges at a later date.
  • ONLY players with telemetry enabled will have their progress included in the event. You can turn telemetry on/off in the game’s settings

You can find the event website here: https://t.paydaythegame.com/c/1e21co

PAYDAY 3: Blog Update #21 - Mask Mania

Happy blog day, heisters!

Welcome to ✨MASK MANIA✨ - Our first ever community event for PAYDAY 3.

This is an event that we’ve worked on ever since 2023, so it’s been cooking for a while. Now, with the larger game update break (don’t worry, we got some big things for next month👀), we still wanted to give you something. Thus, we decided to make the event a reality starting next week!

Find out more about the process and how we got to where we are with the event in our latest blog post: https://t.paydaythegame.com/c/dcazck

Payday 3 could be making a comeback following an update and a big sale

To say Payday 3 had a tumultuous launch would be an understatement. Its Steam reviews plummeted to mostly negative and people abandoned it for its predecessor - Payday 2 - following technical issues and reports of missing features. It seemed dead in the water but a recent update and the Steam Summer Sale seem to have revitalized the game. More players are heisting now than anytime in the last six months. Could this be the start of a comeback?

Payday 3 was a big disappointment, but now it deserves another chance

I'm not going to tell you that Payday 3 is now a great game. Starbreeze still has a long way to go in fixing and improving its flagship heist FPS, and if we're ever going to talk about Payday 3 in the same breath as we discuss Cyberpunk 2077, No Man's Sky, and the other great gaming comebacks, well, it's probably going to take another couple of years. But things are getting better - and the community is responding. The new Payday 3 DLC, which follows Syntax Error, adds a fresh and much-needed extra heist. At the same time, Starbreeze is offering price cuts and free trials, and making forensic improvements to the shooter's most contentious systems.
