Happy Friday, dear followers!

And today on the menu we have a short clip, just recorded during the latest testing session. It vividly demonstrates what happens when a necromancer catches your cemetery off guard.

New road map

Dear friends, followers, and everyone else who's simply interested in Diplomacy is Not an Option. Due to the pandemic situation and other circumstances to be highlighted below we've made a decision to postpone the release date to Spring 2021. We deeply apologize for breaking our promise to release the game by December.
But hey, there are good news too. In summer we managed to raise additional funds for the development. This allows us to significantly increase game quality and bring to the early access version things that we've planned to add much later. Unfortunately, reaching new targets always takes additional time. The entire team is now working hard to ensure that Diplomacy is Not an Option surpasses players expectations by the time it launches on Steam. Here comes our renewed roadmap.

Game mechanics. Magix

Player has a low-probability chance to get at his disposal the soul of the eliminated enemy. Souls of fallen foes are the resources for casting magical spells. There are 4 spells in the game: meteor, healing, summon unit and meteor shower.

Game mechanics. Physics

Corpses, scattering from explosions; swarms of arrows bouncing off stone castle walls — things like these are thoroughly simulated in the game. E.G. the enemy unit staying close to the wall can't be hit by an arrows fired by your archers on the other side of the wall. In this case it's physically impossibile to draw the trajectory of the shot, in which the arrow hits the enemy at right angles to the ground. The decisive factor here is not the distance between the units or the range of the arrow, but its initial speed and angle of the shot. The in-game simulation of a viewing angle and a firing zone for each archer forces Player to plan the location of the defense towers, because "blind spots" may play an important role during the siege. As a result, an effectively designed castle in the game is topologically close to real-life castles.
