Zombies vs. Vampires Fest - and a 55% discount on Door 407 Developer bundle!

Pupultas!

Today marks the start of Steam Zombie vs. Vampires Fest! Obviously, we couldn’t miss the event — not when the Ninth Twilight Lord keeps breaking the fourth wall (which is quite costly to fix) nagging us to promote the Song more.

After all, only in Diplomacy is Not an Option you have a story branch where a metal band of undead conquers the world to throw the greatest concert of all time by using their devoted zombie fans as a resource!

And while the Fest is on, from May 26th to June 2nd, Door 407 Developer Bundle is 55% off!

Update 1.0.54

Improvements
  • In the Map Editor publishing window, you can now select the visibility (before, maps were published as hidden by default);
  • Maps are uploaded to the Workshop with a default cover. The cover is located in the preview.png file in the map directory (%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Door 407\Diplomacy is Not an Option\DNOWorkshop). To change the cover, save the image you want in this file, the size of the image should not exceed 1 mb;
  • Improved publishing: after clicking on the ‘Publish’ button, a window with a request confirmation appears. During publishing, the screen becomes darker, a loading indicator appears in the corner. Successful publishing immediately opens the Workshop map page;
  • Added error messages related to the map publishing process;
Bug Fixes
  • Bug that caused the map to load without saved changes when restarting the map in the Editor;
  • Bug that caused adjacent walls to appear disconnected when playing a map created in the Editor;
  • Bug that caused the attack directions in the Map Editor to always be random, even if a map creator has set the directions;;
  • Character name in the message window could not go outside the box;
  • A bug that caused non-Steam users to have problems with launching the game;

Map Editor Update – Out Now! And a Sale!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Pupultas!

Long time no see! We haven’t been idle all this time – we’ve been working on the Map Editor, and now we are finally ready to let you try it out!

To celebrate the launch, Diplomacy is Not an Option received a discount of 55% till May 26th!

The long-awaited update adds the Map Editor with tools to customize:
  • landscape – generate it randomly or handcraft every nook and cranny, dig lakes or erect mountains;
  • resources – be stingy and make players count every single bit, or make them rich;
  • waves – plan attacks and create an impossible challenge… or a snoozefest;
  • objectives – decide if players should defend a building or a unit, or if you want to make them attack!
And of course you can share your creations with the community! Steam Workshop is enabled for you to show off your maps and let other players judge them.

Our work on the Map Editor isn’t finished and we’ll continue improving it in the future.

Additionally, there are some other game improvements in this update – for example, we’ve added the option for units to move with the same speed! The full list of changes is, as always, under the cut.
