Riddle me this… (2/3)

Good Lords, Fair Ladies!

As you may remember, a couple of weeks ago we found a mysterious scroll. That time a lot of you solved the riddle, but now we’ve got a new one. A strange old man visited and told us this prophecy:

Hark, seeker of riddles, a challenge awaits!
A cryptic clue, a puzzle of fate.
With coordinates given, a compass to guide,
To a battle of ages, where heroes did stride.

At 38°47′45″N, 22°32′13″E a place defined,
A field of echoes, where history’s entined.
In this location warriors did boast,
Their courage and might esteemed the most.

The battle fought here inspired a game,
A key mechanic, each player to tame.
Recall the year, a memory bright,
When history’s drama took its flight.

So search through history's dusty tome,
And find the year when swords did roam.
With this password you shall prevail,
And unlock the secrets this riddle entails.

it’s as if someone tries to convey something… What can it possibly mean?

Please, help us decipher this. We, on our part, will also search for more clues and will be back as soon as we find something!

Sandbox 2.0

Good Lords, Fair Ladies!

Today is May, 19th and, as promised, an update has arrived. This time its primary focus is the new Sandbox mode with Attacking Wave Setup tool and other improvements. As usual, we have prepared a video…
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
…and a description. So, what exactly has been changed?
Attacking Wave Setup window
The old window has got a completely new, shiny look. Now you can set as many attacking waves and needed time for them to come.
Wave Presets
You’ve been asking us to add this to borrow this from Endless mode and add it to the Sandbox. And we did it: now you can select a challenge of any difficulty from the list of 14 presets!
Quick and Advanced Setups
We’ve added a casual tool: Quick Setup. Just move a couple of sliders, and you get yourself a nice (or probably not so nice) old wave! The old way of managing attacking wave is still there. It’s just called Advanced Setup now.
Unleash the Next Attacking Wave Button
Feeling ready to face the next attack, but it’s still a long time till it strikes? Just push the button and jump into fight!
Other additions to the Sandbox Mode
You can play in a new environment – Mystic Shores. There (well, anywhere you fight the King’s army) you’ll meet two new enemies: Royal Archer and Royal Crossbowman! From now on your army isn’t the only one to shoot bolts and arrows.
New Controls Layout for Pros
We’ve added a new layout for especially hardcore players. You can change it in Options – Controls.

More information about the Update is, traditionally, under the cut.

Update 0.9.131

Features
  • Reworked “Attacking Waves Setup” window in Sandbox Mode:
    1. Now you can set multiple attacking waves at once;
    2. You can choose pre-made attacking waves presets taken from Endless and Challenge Modes;
    3. A new way to configure attacking waves - Quick Setup - has been added in addition to the old way of managing attacking waves (which is now called Advanced Setup);
    4. The next attacking wave can be summoned instantly using a new button near the mini-map.
  • Added a new input layout for pro-players (can be changed in Options - Controls).
General
  • Added new environment for Sandbox Mode: “Mystic Shores”;
  • Added new enemies (for Sandbox Mode only): Royal Archer and Royal Crossbowman;
  • 2 maps from Challenge Mode are added to Sandbox Mode: Ideological Standoff and Cultural Divide;
  • Zombies (Walking Corpses, Undead Hulks and Undead Horsies) are no longer counted as Undead and moved to Other Units faction.
Improvements
  • Now you can see the area of attack of units that received “Attack Point” order by clicking on them;

  • The selection box works better on different camera zooms;
  • Multiple UI and UX improvements.
Bug Fixes
  • Fields’ color of Farm I was accidentally changed in the previous update and now reverted to the correct one;
  • Enemy range units now have Accuracy stat in description;
  • Fixed a rare bug with siege machines shooting farther than they are supposed to (when received Attack Point order);
  • Fixed a rare bug when buildings with multiple buffs lose all the buffs instead of one;
  • Fixed a very rare bug with some enemies freeze after they were thrown into air;
  • Multiple localization fixes.

Sounds of Music

Good Lords, Fair Ladies!

We are back with a small announcement!

As you might have noticed, we’ve been working on the campaign for a long time (partially because the scale of the campaign has greatly increased). And we don’t just add more content, but also work on the existing one, such as in-game music. The whole soundtrack has been re-recorded with live instruments. It consists of 16 tracks that mark important events of your future journey across Samreignia and the Uncharted Continent. You can find the complete soundtrack here:

We’ll be back soon with more news.

Development Diary Series (Part 1)

Good Lords, Fair Ladies!

We are back with some news – this time it is about the start of Development Diaries.

With the release coming closer and closer, we’ve decided to share more information about the campaign. But how to do that with few spoilers? And then we came up with an idea: “How about doing it in a form of short videos?” So, starting from today, you will see actual maps and important elements of different campaign missions.

▶️ The new missions must go on!

But if you crave for more specifics, here you go.

BE CAREFUL, SPOILERS AHEAD
[expand]
As you all remember, currently the campaign diverges into two routes. Taking the King’s route leads you to the first new mission, different from the usual “defeat x waves” type. Your main objective here is to finish special buildings: ships. And ships aren’t cheap. You’ll have to ensure you produce enough resources to complete the objective.

That, however, doesn’t mean you are going to have peaceful time. There is always something to threaten your survival. The place is inhabited by quite hot-tempered people, and visitors of a beer fest nearby aren’t going to help. In any case, setting sail isn’t going to be smooth.

Stay tuned, we have more things coming today!
