Death or Glory

Want to become famous?

That is a question that we have been working on with Sumo Newcastle. You can see more of their vision in their video below.

While winning every race in DEATHSPRINT 66 is sure to get the crowd interested, what they want to see is something that sweeps them off their feet.

Close calls, slick slides, and daring dashes are the name of the game as you traverse through the tricky tracks and race to victory. Get them HYPED.

An excellent performance can also lead to sponsorships. We have a whole host of brands looking to sponsor the best Clone Jockeys. Increase your HYPE to gain FAME for a chance to unlock tier rewards such as banners, emoji scoring themes and race suits that are to die for.

As you climb the ranks, you will also unlock AWARDS that celebrate your achievements beyond podium finishes.

Unlock unique cosmetic goodies in the categories that reward your preferred playstyle – STYLE for such actions as grind and rail usage, DEATH which covers both your kill count and you own deaths, and GLORY, which celebrates your clean races and fastest lap times.

There are many more AWARDS to discover. The Bachman Media Network wants drama and excitement, it's your job to deliver.

Bloody on-foot racer Deathsprint 66 is getting singleplayer PvE modes with grisly challenges

The situation: Sumo Newcastle are making a dystopian on-foot multiplayer racing game called Deathsprint 66, in which you control one of eight Running Men hurtling through the spiked and bladed contours of a futuristic megacity. The complication: competing against other actual human beings isn't always pleasant or desirable, especially when hurtling through the spiked and bladed contours of a futuristic megacity. The solution: Deathsprint 66 is getting a set of PvE-focussed "Episodes" in which just one human player plus optional bots hurtle through the spiked and bladed contours of a futuristic megacity.

Introducing Episodes

Listen up, clone jockeys!

We’re a matter of weeks away from the launch of DEATHSPRINT 66, and to make sure you’re prepared, we’re pleased to introduce “Episodes.”

Clone Jockeys can win rewards by completing 3-5 stage tournaments, both solo and against the network’s bot opponents, with added mechanical twists and objectives thrown in for good measure.

Get ready to run, jump, and drift through Time Gates in Killing Time as you race against the clock to complete our courses and avoid painful (and messy) head explosions if the timer hits zero.

For those adrenaline junkies who want to test their execution alongside their speed, compete against the Bachman-bots in Five Lives, where anything less than first place is failure, and the clones available to you are limited. It’s a no-holds-barred fight for survival!

Still not enough? Then partake in our Bloodbath Circuits and Sprints, where everything is trying to kill you, and we mean EVERYTHING. These sadistic tracks have double the traps and double the brutality with abilities that are massively weighted to attacking your rivals. Who needs a Mag Shield anyway?

There are nine mini tournaments to conquer, designed to challenge the very best Clone Jockeys. Will you rise to the challenge or make a generous contribution to the clone recycling program?

Here is a short video on Episodes.

Bringing DEATHSPRINT 66 to Life

With DEATHSPRINT 66’s September 12th launch fast approaching; the Bachman Media Network would like to share more information on the tracks and mechanics of the gameshow.

When concepting DEATHSPRINT 66, the Bachman Media Network knew that three things were critical to its success – fast, thrilling racing, high stakes, and plenty of guts and gore.

They tasked the team at Sumo Newcastle to take on the former by building some of the most brutal and beautiful tracks for the Jockeys to race around. You can see their design philosophy here.

While Sumo Newcastle were busy with the design, it was up to the Bachman Media network to find the perfect locations to host them. With several cities around the world no longer inhabitable due to the recent, multi decade Climate War, it was a no brainer - cheap real estate, and a large amount of space to host the races.

With that part of the puzzle out of the way, it was onto the main problem – how to deliver high stakes, guts and gore, without putting the Jockeys in danger. Learning from their previous show and other ventures by the Bachman corporation, the way forward was obvious. Stem-Link and Clones.

Stem-Link is the birthchild of Braylon Bachman. Originally created in times of war, humans can connect with a host, traditionally a robot, using Augmented Reality Headsets and control their movements.

After the war, the Bachman Media Network combined the Stem-Link technology with mass-scale medical cloning to create lifelike human clones for Jockeys to control.

Each hit is ‘felt’ by the Jockeys. Every death is a heart pounding moment. With 200% more blood, guts, and gore than their human counterparts, the Clones are expendable pieces of entertainment that Jockeys can connect to and from in a flash to continue racing.
