v1.18.1315 - PATCH NOTES

Aside from fixes, the biggest update this patch is the new QOL Turn Point indicator for multi-turn cards like Six Shooter / Hookah etc. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and bug reports!

[h2]PATCH NOTES[/h2]
  • FIX: card tilt status (sometimes not tilted - e.g. cloned card)
  • FIX: White WIdow - retaliation was not firing
  • FIX: Peace Edition - cards correctly remain in play after buff ability
  • UI: unlock card panel - larger cards (fix class box text scaling issue)
  • FIX: Double Jointed - audio cue channel fixed
  • FIX: Clone Ability - no longer runs any 'increase turn point' abilities on cloned cards resulting in a cloned Hookah with 8 turns!
  • FIX: The Retriever - fix single use ability + update description to indicate free card space required
  • UX: Seeing Double - description updated with affect player side cards only
  • UI/UX - new turn point indicator next to Move Cost icon if turn points > 1 (this affects cards like Hookah / Six Shooter)
  • Limit FPS to 60 (save energy / GPU cycles)
  • UI: updated leaf icons / images
  • UI/UX: general tweaks and improvements like buttons / text / spelling

  • Main menu options now toggles with ESC key (also fixes in-game pause overlay showing)

v1.18.1278 - Core Fixes & Cloud Saves



This patch comes with some balance and other fixes including a core Unreal Engine + SteamCore component upgrade + Steam Cloud Sync fixes!.

The new SteamCore integration will allow for STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS + LEADER BOARDS (joy!). I will be adding some to the game ASAP!

[h2]STEAM CLOUD SYNC IMPORTANT - DATA LOSS IMMINENT!:[/h2]
The update to Unreal Engine 4.26.2 and SteamCore sessions required the changing of the SaveGames folder location. This is also to allow Steam Cloud Sync to work properly.

If your old game data is critical to keep it is a simple copy and paste of save files from one location to another.

[h2]MOVING SAVED DATA:[/h2]
Copy all .sav files from:
\Users\{your user}\AppData\Local\BudsLaboratory\Saved\SaveGames
to
\{YouSteamLibraryLocation}\steamapps\common\Bud Masters\WindowsNoEditor\BudsLaboratory\Saved\SaveGames

My apologies for any hassles - though this new structure is required moving forward!

v0.18.1246 - REMATCH + CUSTOM DECK FIXES

[h2]REMATCH?[/h2]
I've added an after game 'Rematch' system allowing another game with the same opponent, without having to return to the Main Menu.

This system was added to work around the online multiplayer re-connection / restart client issues when 2 players would try to re-connect with each other over Steam.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Card unlocks for gaining levels only occur when returning to the main menu.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Changing decks / unlock cards while still connected is something I've been experimenting with - but for now, if you want to change decks and then play against the SAME opponent you will need to restart the client.

Please do let me know feedback / any issues. With enough support, Bud Masters 2 just might be a thing!

[h2]FIXED/IMPROVED THIS PATCH[/h2]
  • FIX - Save Decks - previously required pressing ENTER key, now after every key press the name data is updated.
  • FIX - AI playing cards AFTER turn change (this was an odd one but should be fixed)
