❗️ Make sure Tinkertown is updated – Outdated server shutting November 18 ❗️

Hi Tinkerers!

We hope you’re enjoying the Tinkertown 2.0 Update! If you haven’t updated your game yet, you’re not only missing out on a bunch of cool new additions, changes, features, and a whole new biome, you might also risk not being able to play online anymore!

Some of you might still be exploring, crafting, building, fighting, and farming in an outdated version of the game which is running on an older server. ❗️ That server will be shut down on November 18. ❗️ If your game isn’t updated to the latest version by then, this might result in you not being able to play the game online anymore.

Luckily, the fix is easy: update your game to the latest version, and you’re good to go! There is nothing else you need to do in order to transfer your save.

If you don’t read this in time or are unable to update your game before the server is shut off – don’t sweat it! All you need to do to enjoy Tinkertown in multiplayer is to just make sure you update it the next time you feel like tinkering away with your friends! No save files will be affected and no data will be lost.

… And if you’re game is up to date already – What are you waiting for? The Lava biome awaits!

Thank you & Talk to you soon!

Hello dear Tinkerers!

Despite our efforts new bugs had been introduced with 2.0 therefore we fixed a lot of them with this patch 2.0.2.
This would not have been possible without your detailed reports, so thank you very much for that
Even though 2.0.2 will take care of a lot of issues encountered, there's a few we're still tackling with further patches

2.0.2

  • Fixed some doors being passable in the Ice Dungeon although they were closed
  • Fixed an issue where Chicken Coop and other NPC spawning tiles could cause heavy issues when placed in special configurations
  • Fixed an issue where player placed tiles were not visible on the worldmap after restarting the world and not being close to those tiles
  • Added Sort and Quick Transfer keyboard shortcuts
  • Potentially fixed an issue where players cannot move correctly (let us know if it still happens please)
  • Removed an old unused tile "Corn Seeds" from all drops
  • Partially fixed an issue where walls would not display correctly in some cases (let us know if it still happens for you)
  • Partially fixed an issue where walls would not display correctly in some cases (let us know if it still happens for you)
  • Fixed a crash that could occur in multiplayer, especially in dungeons.
  • Improved stability in general
  • Fixed an issue where entering an incorrect friend code would result in the game not being interactable in the main menu.
  • Fixed placement preview of Anvil and Iron Gate
  • Fixed issue where disconnecting due to a lost connection would bombard you with error messages
  • Fixed a problem where timeout on connection was not working properly (you were stuck on a loading bar that never moved)
  • Fixed various controller navigation issues that could sometimes occur
  • (especially notable on steamdeck)

As mentioned before there are some known issues lingering you should be aware of that we are working on fixing:
  • Sometimes shelfs and wall mounts may delete items you put in
  • Plants still grow unreliably
  • Some visual issues (being investigated)
  • No way of replenishing frost pine or grey wood
  • Sometimes the Herbicide Achievement does not trigger correctly
  • Spider Guardian attacks go through walls

Tinkertown 2.0 Update delayed to November 4th!

Hi Tinkerers,

We received great feedback from the recent playtest, so a big thank you to the people who helped us over the weekend! Even though the test was very successful, we saw some inconvenient issues reported.

We want to deliver a good player experience for the 2.0 Update, so with that in mind, we decided that we need to move the PC launch to November 4th!

This delay will ensure that the 2.0 Update on PC will be released together with the launch of Tinkertown on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

We are sorry for the delay, and we thank you for your understanding!

With an adventurous heart!
