After a short delay, we are finally ready to open the gates to the new Desert Dungeon for the first time with the release of the beta update. And at the centre stage is, of course, the new Dungeon that invites you to explore its dark corridors and face the enemies, traps and riddles hidden within.

The most adventurous and fearless Tinkerers of you can now choose to download the beta update and dive into the mysterious depths of the Desert Dungeon!

How do I download the beta update?

1. Right click on Tinkertown in your Steam library
   
2. Click on “Properties” -> “Betas”
   
3. Choose “preview” branch. The update should download automatically

IMPORTANT: You have to start a new world to play the new content!

Please remember that the Desert Dungeon update is still in beta. It is possible that you encounter bugs and issues and we need your feedback to track them down and polish the update until the full release.

You can send us your feedback in the Desert Dungeon beta feedback threat in the Tinkertown community hub or you can get in touch with us directly with our community Discord channel.

Desert Dungeon beta patch notes version 0.7.0b:

• Added Mana Stat -> increases maximum Mana
  
• Added Health Stat -> increases maximum Health
  
• Added Autosave functionality to save your position more frequently
  
• Added first magic spell
  
• Added new Dungeon! Features Traps, switches and mysterious riddles.
  
• 9 new diverse enemies
  
• You can now enable and disable friendly fire!
  
• A new and challenging Boss!
  
• Fixed sandworms not getting aggro
  
• A portable torch! May seem small but this opens us new doors to more particles and more epic items in the future updates
  
• Collectable recipes and many new items! (8 new weapons, 12 new armor parts , 15 Collectable Diagrams)
  
• Rare loot that can only be found in the new desert dungeon (Ancient Fragment, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald)

We are sorry to say that we can't keep our targeted release day for the beta of the desert dungeon update today.

We are working like crazy to bring you the new dungeon experience we imagined but we have still some construction zones in the desert dungeon that need to be finished.

Even though we are talking about a beta release here, we want to provide you with great new content that is fun and that meet our expectations.

We came to this decision today and we move the release day to Friday this week.

Hopefully, you all can wait a little longer! It's going to be amazing! :)

In the meantime, you can help the Devs! Send them a motivational message in comments.

You asked for more content? The Desert Dungeon will challenge you, providing new enemies, improved enemy behaviour, more gameplay mechanics like traps, lovely loot and - of course - a powerful boss fight!

We have learned a lot from the design of our first forest dungeon and from your feedback. Dungeons should be a challenge, and it should be a place where you test your skills while you wander through the halls exploring fascinating places that feel mysterious and forgotten.

That’s why we will put everything that we have learned from the first dungeon into practice in the desert dungeon. It is our goal to deliver a more engaging and immersive challenge that is inspired by the dungeons of classic 16 Bit RPGs like classic The Legend of Zelda titles!

So prepare yourself and get ready when the gates of the desert dungeon open.
It's going to be a rewarding adventure which you don’t want to miss. 😉
