[Dev Note] Part-23 : August Schedule Adjustment

[p]Hello, this is Executive Producer Kwon Dae-ho. [/p][p] [/p][p]I would like to share the mid-development progress regarding the firearm balance adjustments and new character update that I mentioned in early August. [/p][p]The new firearm growth system and new character update, originally scheduled for August 13, will inevitably be delayed by about 1-2 weeks. I truly regret having to deliver this news. [/p][p]Although we have done our utmost to satisfy our Masters as quickly as possible, we have decided to proceed with additional internal testing and polishing before release, so as not to compromise our top priority of stable service. [/p][p]Below is an introduction to the key features of the next update. [/p][p] [/p][h3]\[Firearm Upgrade System] [/h3][p]As briefly introduced in the previous Developer Note, this is a system where each type of firearm can grow and improve its stats through progression. [/p][p]Previously, the grade of design firearms obtained through Recruitment/Shop/Battle Pass directly determined the firearm’s performance, which drew many concerns and criticisms of Pay-to-Win. [/p][p]To address this, from the moment the Firearm Upgrade System is implemented, all firearm items will function solely as visual designs, and their performance will be determined by the stats gained through growth based on accumulated Exp for each firearm type.[/p][p]Firearm-specific proficiency (Level, Exp) and their corresponding stat upgrades are currently in development. Please keep in mind that the version shown is a pre-localized prototype. [/p][p]And for the rare/legendary firearms which you possessed right before the firearm level system, we will ensure their value is preserved. When the system is implemented on August 21, the level of the corresponding firearm will be adjusted and unlocked based on the number of rare/legendary parts you own. [/p][p][/p][h3]\[Weekly Missions] [/h3][p]Along with the introduction of the Firearm Upgrade System, the “Weekly Missions,” an expanded version of Daily Missions, will also be updated. [/p][p]Weekly Missions will provide crucial assistance in leveling up firearm proficiency and will run alongside the existing Daily Missions, Master Missions, and Battle Pass Missions—adding greater meaning and satisfaction to every PVP battle. [/p][p]With this setup, both the Firearm Upgrade System and Weekly Missions are being prepared for the August 21 update. [/p][p] [/p][h3]\[New Master: Sim] [/h3][p]The next new Master is Sim, a member of S.Force which is a government-affiliated agency monitoring the massive assassination and espionage organizations AS and AB[/p][p]This character briefly appeared in Developer Note #9 (link) and will be positioned as a defensive Master utilizing shield techniques. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]As mentioned in the previous Developer Note, the new character Sim will have her default appearance available for free through the Battle Pass. After the Battle Pass ends, the default appearance will be sold in the shop for Master Coins. [/p][p]Sim is in the final stages of preparation for the planned August 28 release. [/p][p][/p][h3]\[Conclusion] [/h3][p]Since the beginning of service, we have been tirelessly following the feedback of our Masters. [/p][p]At times, we have made inappropriate choices and delivered unsatisfactory results, while at other times, we have received great encouragement and support for new directions. [/p][p]The content of both the previous and this Developer Note reflects our desire to create a more enjoyable and well-recognized game.
