Developer notes - Combat & Movement

Greetings Travellers!

We are back with yet another developer note, this week we will be focusing on combat & and movement.

We just released our video on the subject, detailing all the information you would need to traverse the world of Iremesa and combat player or creature alike.

Although we are only highlighting some aspects of combat, we want the players to be able to discover all the different weapon types, spells and mechanics. We will be closely monitoring the general feedback and make adjustments along the way.

Feel free to hope on our discord:

Farewell Travellers

Developer notes - Gathering & Crafting

We started a new series of developer notes to help detail and explain all the main features in Ethyrial: Echoes Of Yore. We want all players to understand what the game has to offer and be able to jump right in and play without needing to refer to wiki guides. Although many secrets and discoveries we will leave undocumented for players to find.

These developers notes will be essential in giving you the tools and knowledge to get ahead in the world of iremesa.

We will meet again travellers!

Game Update and Name Change

Well met travellers!

We have been silent the last few weeks, but I assure you we are hard at work. We have received great feedback with our recent video on YouTube, and the support has been excellent. In response to the fantastic feedback, we would like to be more active in our social channels.
Our team has grown, and we needed an extra pair of hands; please welcome Vent3r as your new Community Manager. He will be in charge of all community-related news, updates, and events. If you have any questions or have an issue that needs to be resolved, you can contact our Community Manager.
You also may know all the changes that have happened on our Discord and all our channels.
We felt our game had come a long way, and we needed a name to reflect that change and growth.
From today our game will be called Ethyrial: Echoes Of Yore.
The name is based on the Lore, which we will soon release some more information about!
Forums
We are not quite done yet! We have a forum page that will be the hub for our community to communicate, share stories and give feedback. All our updates and news will be posted there first.
You can expect to find events, polls, news, and more, don’t be a stranger and introduce yourself!
Internal Testing
We will also commence some internal testing today in preparation for a more extensive test where we will invite you guys! This week, our tester group and the few Patreons will have access to the game to help us find the significant game-breaking bugs. We will then work on fixing those issues before announcing a date to bring a selected group from the signed-up testers. If you would like to become a tester, you can sign up here to get a chance in this and upcoming alpha tests.

Thank you all for showing such interest in our project and all of the support you give us! You will help us make something great out of this!

Alpha #2 Update

Today we start a weekend alpha test where we have implemented some new features and testing the game after the big switch to node-based development.
In this alpha, you can try out Fishing, a PvE map, and a 1 v 1 PvP map.
Death penalties are now active so when you die you will lose experience and items.
Learning the new node-based system has taken some time and then converting, playtesting, and remaking everything affected by the change has been a challenge.
We are now in a state where we need mass testing and we also want more feedback for future development.

We hope you have fun playing and don't get stuck on too many bugs.

Gellyberry Studios.

Closed Alpha #2

Hi everyone,
We have now set a date for our next Closed Alpha. We will aim for a test focusing on PvP/PvE Arenas (and some additional new systems) on November 13. We know it's quite a while until then, but we wanted to give ourselves enough time. We are very sure we can deliver a good closed Alpha by then. We will have some internal tests running during mid-october, where we will assemble a testing-group of players who has been with us for a long time. We will stream some of these tests, so if you want to check out our progress you can do so on Twitch 🙂.
Hopefully we can then find most bugs and fix them before the closed Alpha begins.
More information will be given later!
Thank you all for supporting us, we have such a great community! ❤
