Update 1.32 Patch Notes

1.32.1 (April 5)
  • The Chainsaw hat will now have the spike speed affected by the slowdown at the end of a match
  • The vote ban settings can now be changed by me remotely so that I can tweak values without updating the game.
  • Reduced stuttering in the main menu caused by frequent checking of download progress and display of completion percentage for workshop items. More subscribed workshop items leads to more stuttering during the first few seconds after the menu loads due to numerous callbacks on download status from Steam. I might consider optimizing it later, but currently, it only affects players with more than a couple Resource Pack subscriptions and has minimal impact. Mostly this has just resulted in the realization that Steam callbacks are fairly expensive and should be used more sparingly.


1.32.2 (April 10)
  • Fixed the lag issues introduced in the 1.32.1 patch.
  • Increased the requirement of participation and vote percentage for vote bans to be successful, and increased the vote ban duration from 15 seconds to 25 seconds to hopefully get more responses.

More Levels + Redesign

[h2]Update 1.32[/h2]

The level icons were in need of some love, and a lot of players who have made it past level 100 have had to use the same rainbow icon forever. I added new level icons up to level 400 and redesigned all of the old ones with a more sophisticated visual progression.

As an example, here are the changes to the new level 100 icon set:



Changes
  • Redesigned all the level icons, and added icons past level 100 (400 is the new highest icon).
  • Added a menu to view levels and their EXP requirements, which you can access by clicking your level icon in the top left of the main menu.


Bugfixes
  • The player context menu will no longer go offscreen if you open it on a player at the bottom of the scoreboard.

Update 1.31 Patch Notes

1.31.5 (March 11)
  • Added the match name in top left on the scoreboard
  • Verified players can no longer be banned automatically (can still be vote banned)
  • Fixed a bug where a corrupted customization file would cause the customization menu to not load as well as a lot of strange things to break in-game


1.31.4 (March 9)
  • Added "Verified Players." These are players reviewed by me and deemed to be not hackers. They get a special green checkmark icon on the scoreboard and a "Verified Player" notice above their kill banner. The aim of this is to reduce the number of vote bans against good players.
  • Fixed some missing characters in the Chinese translation
  • Fixed a bug with the button cabinet on Playground where if you used it you could never leave
  • Added a new loading screen by Gilikosik
  • Improved the icon alignment on the scoreboard UI


1.31.3 (February 24)
  • Infected players no longer get spawn protection
  • Fixed a bug where in Team gamemodes you wouldn't get damaged the acid on Xeo
  • Attempted another fix for the match instantly ending when the host started as Infected

  • Fixed a bug where if a player lost connection and everyone got infected, Survivors would win
  • (Hopefully) fixed a bug where if the Host of the match got infected at the start the match would instantly end

  • Fixed a bug where the last survivor leaving could cause the match to go on forever
  • Fixed a bug where if any player hadn't been assigned to Survivor or Infected (still loading in) the match could go on forever
  • Fixed a bug where the infected objective would not display if you joined the match late
  • Fixed a bug created in 1.31.0 where all the settings were lowercase and not translated
  • Survivors no longer have grapple gear (by default) in Infection

New Game Mode: Infection

[h3]Update 1.31[/h3]

This update features a brand new game mode: Infection! After 20 seconds, 12% of players in the match will get infected. The Infected players get a instakill knife and grapple gear. When a Survivor gets killed, they become Infected. Infect everyone to win as an Infected, or survive until the time runs out to win as a Survivor!



Changes
  • Added the Infection gamemode.


Bugfixes
  • Hopefully reduced main menu load time by caching GetComponent references for LocalizedText components in the editor instead of at runtime
  • The "Only the Host can change Match Settings" text will no longer show for the host after the match ends and everyone returns to the main menu
  • Fixed a bug where after a One in the Chamber match every gamemode would give you one bullet back per kill
  • The match settings UI will now load the current match settings when you return to the main menu after a match ends (I'm not sure how I missed this for so long...)

Update 1.30 Patch Notes

1.30.14 (February 10)
  • Fixed a bug where any time you tried to join a friend's match through the Steam friends list you would get a "Failed to join match. Incompatible match version" error


1.30.13 (February 8)
  • I reordered the patch notes so the newer patches are first. I think it will make it easier to see the newest changes.
  • Tweaked a secret area on Ruins
  • Added a setting for using mouse input on upgrade cabinets, so you don't have to use the mouse if you liked the old system
  • You can no longer join matches with an incompatible version through the Join Lobby feature on the Steam friends list
  • Fixed text clipping issues with matches on the match list that had an incompatible version
  • Added basic censorship for match names
  • Matches in the match list will now update the gamemode property when it's changed in the match
  • Fixed a bug I introduced in the last patch where you could use Upgrade Cabinets when they were disabled


1.30.12 (February 5)
  • Added team spawns to Arena

  • Added an Italian translation for the "Hide Private" toggle
  • Fixed a bug with the Speed Demon achievement where if you hadn't played any of the time trials yet, it would give you the achievement on your first gold.
  • Increased the maximum amount of concurrent matches.
  • Fixed a bug where the saw hat would be visible in first person view
  • Fixed a bug where you could move around while using an Upgrade Cabinet
  • Improved the UI for Upgrade Cabinets
  • If you are aiming and interact with an Upgrade Cabinet, you will now stop aiming
  • The crosshair will now hide when interacting with Upgrade Cabinets
  • You can now click options to upgrade in Upgrade Cabinets instead of having to use the keyboard
  • Gravity will now respond to dynamic match setting updates


1.30.11 (January 30)
  • Votes now require 60% match participation to pass
  • Added reasons to vote bans: Hacking, Toxicity, and Being Too Good. We'll see if I keep that last one in or not.
  • Fixed a bug where interacting with an upgrade cabinet would send every single player to the world origin on your screen (this was especially visible at one upgrade cabinet by the world origin on the map Sticks)
  • Fixed a bug where closing the chat window while in the Team Deathmatch team select menu would hide your cursor and make you unable to join a team
  • Fixed a bug where if you were typing in chat when the map loaded then it would deselect the chat input and you would have to click it again to continue typing
  • Adjusted the positions of some upgrade cabinets on Orbit which were sunken into the ground
  • Changed the loading screen

  • You can no longer start a vote to ban moderators

1.30.5 (January 18)
  • Fixed a bug with the Slice death effect not having its physics simulate correctly when it was being previewed at a specific rotation in the customization menu
  • Removed the restriction that custom skins must first be uploaded to ibb.co or imgur.com. You can now use any image URL, depending on the permissions of the website.
  • Custom skins can now be rotated in-game so that you don't have to keep uploading a skin to get the front of the image aligned to the front of the player
  • Changed the way host bans work. Hosts no longer get complete ban control. You can now only have complete ban control if you're the host and creator of the match. Anyone can vote to ban anyone else. there's a 15 second vote, and if 50% of players in the match vote with a 50% vote yes to ban, the player will be banned. There's a 60 second time limit between when players can start a vote.


1.30.4 (January 15)
  • Fixed a text clipping issue in the Resource Packs menu for Resource Packs with long names
  • Moderators can now change the names of matches if they are inappropriate
  • Fixed an issue with the mouse scroll not looping around through items
  • Matches created on the beta branch will now have a [Beta] tag to make it more clear why they are a newer version

  • Fixed the Jack-O'-Lantern hat not being available to players who owned it
