The Bergsons' Reinforcements update

We are so happy to make updates including licences we love and inspire us and this time it's Children of Morta's turn!

[h2]7 new Echoes from Children of Morta[/h2]
It's really great to be able to summon the Bergsons with 7 new echoes that complete the possible builds.


  • - Apan's Magic Glyph (restore life)


  • - Joey's Smite (meteors)


  • - John's Heaven's Strike (spirit swords)


  • - Kevin's Fan of Knives (missiles)


  • - Linda's Explosive Crescendo (ignition)


  • - Lucy's Cyclone (sparks)


  • - Mark's Scourging Whip (ice idols)


As we have more echoes now, 40 in total, we added an extra Yalee reroll.

We have also added the possibility to reset the Small Dragons Auras for Sun Pieces so you have more flexibility for your starting Aura -

This 1.10 update content is smaller than usual because we are hard working on the 2.0 update!

The update is planned for April 30 2025 and we still have a lot to do! The amount of content is very big as we wish for it to deliver a new and fresh experience for Astral Ascent at this moment.

We have already been working on the new Rooms. One of them is allowing you to pick any Auras from the game, Auras are ordered by key words so if you have Fire Slime like in the example below, they will be in the Fire and in the Slime categories.

The idea is that you simply go to the category you are focusing right now, for example Ice Swords and you will see all auras related to Ice Swords at once.

We have also worked on the Room to select any Echoes from the game, with 40 Echoes in the game it makes sure you can get the exact Echo you want to complete your build as we want to make sure all echoes exist for their respective builds.

We have also started to work on the Andromeda's boss fight and we found out how she will fight and how this fight will be integrated in the game!

Finally, we are part of the Steam Couch Co-op Fest so it's a great opportunity to remind you can play in co-op in Astral Ascent, either in local co-op or through Remote Play Together or Parsec for online play!

2.0 DLC, New Roadmap, The Dead Cells Rendezvous Update

Thanks again to Motion Twin for their trust, it has been an honor for us to work on Dead Cells which is a genre-defining game and an inspiration! Do not hesitate to check their new game Windblown, it is so fun to play and even more in co-op (up to 3 players)!

These new weapons add even more variations to your playstyles!
As you saw above, these new weapons come with an extra 15 new passives to discover to complete your fighting style.

Andromeda's bar will also have a surprise visitor if you have a Dead Cells weapon equiped!

[h2]Weapons Improvements[/h2]
  • You can now equip 2 weapons at once, this will allow you to adapt depending of the situation. For example if you cannot get close to an enemy, switch for a ranged weapon to keep attacking!


    This also changes a lot of things for Weapon Passives as you can have both passives at once but you need the right weapon to use them. For example if you get stacks for your weapon when killing enemies, you can kill them with your other weapon and still get the stacks but you will need to switch to the right weapon to consume them!

  • The weapons are also always visible now, it was a lot of work to do as all animations are done frame by frame but this gives more personality to weapons and allows you to better understand which weapon you have now that you can have 2 at once.

Announcing the 2.0 Update content!


We are very happy to announce that we are working on the 2.0 planned for April 2025 (this is subject to change) and this update will have a lot of content at once, there will be a major Free update and a paid DLC named The Outer Reaches.

You go through these worlds to reach The Master because it is the easiest way to reach him but there are many other worlds, alternative paths to follow, The Outer Reaches.
The Outer Reaches are new worlds to explore with their own wildlife and foes.

New Roadmap!

We are also very happy to share an updated version of our Roadmap for Astral Ascent, We have added 2 smaller updates, 1.10 and 1.11 before the 2.0 that is now planned for April 2025.
The 1.10 will add long time requested features to the game that we didn't want to postpone more and the 1.11 will add 7 new very fun echoes to the game from a licence we love!

With this new Roadmap we are also making it clear that 2.0 is not the end and more updates are planned after it. We even have very cool things that are not announced yet.

Astral Ascent x Dead Cells update announcement

We are very excited to announce to you our collaboration with Motion Twin to release a Dead Cells update for Astral Ascent coming out on November 27th! Here is our reveal teaser below! ːbarbecuePogː

We are very proud of this collaboration as Dead Cells is the most popular of our genre of Platformer Roguelike games it is probably the game that defined this genre the most. It is also a game we took inspiration from for its fluidity of movement and nervous action.

What to expect from this update?


You will be able to play with 5 unique weapons from Dead Cells :
  • Nutcracker for Kiran
  • Throwing Knives for Ayla
  • Wrenching Whip for Octave
  • Scythe Claw for Calie
  • Symmetrical Lance for Yamat

These weapons will also come with 15 new passives.


We are also introducing a new system in the 1.9 update, you will be able to hold 2 weapons at once, giving you more strategy opportunities and poweful combos with weapon passives!


It will of course be possible to unlock both of weapons equipped passives at once!

A new addition is also that weapons will always be visible when playing the game now!

It was a lot of work so we hope you will enjoy this change! It is also the case for big weapons like Octave's rocket launcher!
