Early Access Patch 1.7.2

  • Set new feature climbing up to function only on dedicated spaces. There are no climbing spaces setup yet.
  • Fixed 3d alignment issue (light visible) inside the starting cave.
  • Updated two NPCs - with the new update some NPCs have to be optimized as part of feature updates. About half of all NPCs require these updates.

Epica Early Access Patch 1.7.1

  • Updated the game to Unreal Engine version 5.1.
  • Updated all game related code, including optimizations, additions, and edits.
  • Updated graphic settings to use Lumen. New Unreal Engine 5 features are currently tested and will be further optimized. Edit the video settings (currently on max per default) to improve your FPS, if required.

  • Started update of the starting zone, this process is ongoing. The starting zone will be further tweaked to make the game world more compact.
  • Fixed a bug with the keybindings not saving properly.
  • Upcoming patches in the next few days and weeks ahead will update all existing game features, and begin roll-out of new content.

Patch 1.7.0

  • This patch fixes a bug preventing the saving of user settings for custom key mappings.


The next content update for Epica will arrive around November 2022.

Patch 1.6.7

Fixed a bug which caused NPC greetings to play twice.

Open issue, the game settings on the settings panel are not updated, even though they are updated in-game.

Next game updates will arrive late August or in September, including new content.
