[/p][p][/p][p]Now, about the changes to our Playtests, Medics. As you may have read, we have decided to turn Feature Playtest #2 into a Lifeline Mode (then Arena Mode) focused playtest. This might be a surprise to some of you, so here are some pointers for you.[/p][p][/p]
Attention, Medic!
[p][/p][p]Operation Lifeline continues! With the conclusion of Feature Playtest #1 came a huge wave of feedback from our playtesting medics. This has led us to deliver a bunch of updates to our alpha build, leading us to our second mission: Feature Playtest #2.[/p][p][/p][p]Let's not delay this any longer - read through the post to learn more about our second playtest.[/p][p][/p]

Our Second Mission - Feature Playtest #2
[p][/p][p][p]Operation Lifeline: Feature Playtest #2[/p]

- [p]First and foremost, Feature Playtest #2 is a Lifeline Mode-only Playtest. More details about why we decided to do this is explained after this section.[/p]
- [p]Arena Mode --> Lifeline Mode - This playtest renames Arena Mode to Lifeline Mode, updates detection markers, and improves map balance and UI. Enemies won’t detect you while treating the wounded, new between-stage QTEs add variety, and Kakazu’s third stage, plus a new minefield mechanic deepen the challenge.[/p]
- [p]Morale System - The Morale System adds urgency by pushing you to stay active and efficient. It motivates quick movement, prioritizing wounded, and avoiding idle moments. Acting as a second "progress bar", morale rises when you treat the injured and declines when you’re idle or inefficient, creating the much-needed pressure to stay engaged in the chaos of war.[/p]
- [p]Game optimization - Thanks to all the feedback we received from Feature Playtest #1, we've made a huge push to improve the game's performance across most systems. Besides all the optimizations we've done, we have overhauled the graphics and video settings to make it easier for you to tweak them to your preference, besides being visually better.[/p]
- [p]Overall game balance - Tweaks were made to provide an overall better, balanced gameplay, including but not limited to: Stamina, Skills, Skill Tree, etc.[/p]
- [p]Better Development Focus - separating playtests for the campaign and Lifeline Mode helps us refine Medic: Pacific War more effectively. Feedback from Feature Playtest #2 will greatly improve Lifeline Mode, and those improvements will eventually carry over to the game’s overall experience, including the campaign.[/p]
- [p]The Next Feature Playtests - the first playtest covered both the Campaign and Lifeline Mode (then Arena Mode), while the second focuses solely on Lifeline. Going forward, our playtests will follow this pattern:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Playtest #[/p][p]Tentative Schedule[/p][p]Details[/p][p]Feature Playtest #3[/p][p]Jan 2026[/p][p]Focus on the campaign, incorporating feedback from the first two playtests. Its goal is to further refine the campaign experience, even if it doesn’t yet reveal upcoming chapters.[/p][p]Feature Playtest #4[/p][p]Feb 2026[/p][p]Will again focus on Lifeline Mode. With feedback from earlier playtests, we aim to deliver a significantly improved experience, including expected - but not final - updates like added stages, gameplay variations, and more.[/p][p]Final Feature Playtest[/p][p]Feb or Mar 2026[/p][p]Will mirror the first, featuring both the campaign and Lifeline Mode. By then, we aim to deliver the closest-to-final experience, with all feedback from this playtest feeding directly into the launch build.[/p]
- [p]As part of the new plan, all changes and feedback from each playtest will be added to the game’s Demo Version. This ensures everyone can try the latest updates, optimizations, and features as they’re introduced.[/p]
