Development Branch update - v1.519

Hello Terraformers!

We've just updated a new version (v1.519) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ.

This version fixes small bugs and balance Aqualis & Selenea resources.

Let us know if you experience significant performances changes or new critical bugs.

As usual, restart Steam to get the update, and backup your save before trying the dev branch.
All players must have the same version to play co-op.
If you have issues launching the game, remove all your mods before reporting bugs.


Temporary changelog :

  • Aqualis : Adds a satellite on one of the starting patch of sand, containing all items required to build an Extraction Platform and a travel rocket. This is to avoid player getting stuck on Aqualis when they forgot items.

  • Selenea : Adds more ores (suflur, aluminium, obsidian) on some places on Selenea. Adds a procedural wreck on the planet. This is to increase chances to succeed when starting on Selenea.

  • Adds new posters to procedural wrecks
  • Fixed colliders in the interplanetary POD preventing to pick dropped objects in it,
  • Fixed an issue with gauges UI slowly drifting out of the screen when opening menus,
  • PlanetaryDeliveryDepot can't be deconstructed anymore if containing items in its inventory,
  • Fixed an issue with environment colors not properly reset when switching planets or going through portals,
  • Improved spawning when switching planet to avoid appearing under the destination platform,
  • Fixed an issue preventing to display all objects in the unlock screen when starting on Selenea,
  • UI and texts various fixes
  • Multiple minor environment changes and fix.

[h2]The "Moons Update" is LIVE![/h2]

Less than 6 months after The Decoration Update, we are back with our biggest update to date! The "Moons Update"!
We dared to ask : why only terraform a planet, when you can terraform an entire solar system?!


This update will allow you to go to two new moons, once you've finished terraforming your first planet. Once on a new moon, you'll be able to terraform it, while keeping all your blueprints, knowledge and equipment. You'll be able to exchange resources between those planets and even automating everything.


Unlock new technologies, expand your operations, discover new moons, and terraform a whole solar system!

[h3]Frequently Asked Questions[/h3]
  • Is this update free?
    Yes!

  • How do I play it?
    Terraform a planet (Prime or Humble) entirely (complete terraforming stage), unlock the Extraction Platform and the Travel Rocket. Build a Travel rocket on the Extraction Platform to go to the moons! (You may have to deconstruct the rocket if you already have built a Extraction Platform)

    Alternately, you can start a new playthrough from Selenea, but we do not recommend it, as it's for advanced players only.

  • Do I need to start a new game to play it?
    No, you can continue with your save file. Unlock the rocket to travel between planets once you have finished terraforming a planet.

  • Can I go from Prime, to Humble, to the moons?
    Yes! If you have the Humble DLC, you'll be able to travel between all those planets & moons!

  • Can I go to the moons from the Humble DLC?
    Yes! If you started your adventure on planet Humble, you will unlock the travel rocket once you terraformed Humble too.

  • If I play in co-op, can I be on one planet and my friend on another?
    No, all players will play on the same planet or moon at the same time.

  • If I'm on a moon, does my terraforming process continue on other planets?
    Yes, all terraforming, drones, ore extraction, autocrafting, etc. continues while you travel from planets to planets.

  • If I started a playthrough on Prime, and another one on Humble, will I be able to merge my save files?
    No, unfortunately, you won't be able to merge save files. So you'll have to choose from which one continue.

  • I have a problem, something is not working!
    Be sure to update or remove any mods and that your drivers are up to date.

Changelog "The Moons Update" - v1.518:

New gameplay mechanic
  • Once you finished terraforming a planet, you'll be able to build an Interplanetary travel rocket to go on other planets. You'll keep your inventory, equipement & known blueprints, but you'll need to build another travel rocket to come back. There is new machines to unlock based on a new System Terraformation Index. You'll be able to trade resources between planets.
  • Two new moons to explore : Selenea & Aqualis. With specific terraforming stages, unlocks and ores.

Major changes
  • You can now build different rockets on the departure platform.
  • Each moon have 2 new and unique music tracks
  • Some objects (mostly objects that grows things, like farms, animals farms, beehives, food growers, etc...) will now have logistics disabled for their seeds inventory. This should not change anything, as most of the time you don't want to change the seeds via logistics. Vegetables will continue to be pickable by drones.
  • Humble : the departure platform will now be unlocked automaticly when the planet is terraformed. You still can find the recipe in the world.
Misc.
  • Tree spreader spawn a bit less trees
  • Animal shelter produces more animal terraforming value
  • Various changes on machines generation
  • Various UI fixes and tweaks
  • Change container t3 appearance to improve performances
  • Auto Crafters won't use seeds or objects in displayers anymore

We've just updated a new version (v1.517) on the development branch.

This version fixes mutliple bugs and improves some content. This version is a release candidate, meaning that if no critical bugs are found, it will go live.

Let us know if you experience significant performances changes or new critical bugs.

As usual, restart Steam to get the update, and backup your save before trying the dev branch.
All players must have the same version to play co-op.
If you have issues launching the game, remove all your mods before reporting bugs.


Temporary changelog :
  • Selenea : Lots of containers now contains high tier loot to help the player if Selenea is choosen as a starting planet
  • Selenea : Adds a new small base
  • Add 4 new musics tracks (2 for each moons)
  • New messages send at the end of the terraforming of each moons
  • New popup message at the first time player use the travel rocket
  • Fixes issues with map markers and resource extraction
  • Fixes posters rotation issues
  • Add 2 new skins, 2 new posters, 2 new animal effigies. Find them on loot on each planets. (loot containers have been reset in case you loot them already)

  • Blazar on Selenea is now minable with Ore Extractors T3 (not harvesting robot anymore)

  • Fixed an issue with tree and insects natural spawns not working properly anymore
  • Fuse growth can now be crafted in quartz craft station

  • Selenea can be selected as a starting planet
  • Harvesting robot is now linked to the map. Meaning, if you have the t2 informations rocket you can harvest different things on different planet. Depending on your terraforming stage.
  • Energy fuse is now buildable after a certain SysTi is reached
  • New frogs can be unlocked & crafted
  • Added two new animals species. They will spawn on Selenea & Aqualis once correct terra stage is reached.
  • Disable interplanetary shuttle auto launch when requesting items and coming back with them
  • Farm T2 can now be constructed on grids
  • Phosphorous is no longer recognized as Sulfur
  • Fixed an issue with clients not able to select advanced resources in ore extractors
  • Fixed an issue causing trees from specific planets naturally growing on other planets even if not manually grown yet

  • Restored compatibility with old save files (pre terratokens and pre game settings versions)
  • Fixed an issue with water not appearing if terraforming a planet too quickly

  • DNA Sequencers and Incubators still working even if not on the active planet
  • Fixed potential issues when switching planets during a meteo event
  • Gas Extractor T1 properly generating Nitrogen depending on the current planet breathable terraformation stage
  • Beehives no longer affected by growth optimizers
