Hi!
As promised, today's blog will be a quick game progress update.
In the past weeks, I have completed map transformation. There is now a complete final map in the game that changes through time. I wanted to create a unique atmosphere where you can see a time change. I think that similar games have a time system in place, but you don't really »see« or »feel« the time change.
I have created eight unique hand-drawn images that represent the map and change through time. You can see some of the changes down below. This is a completely new map design and also a final one! So no more changes! 😉

You can also see in the second picture how the map will look through world war II, where theaters will be forced to close down, and you will have to be a little more resourceful with your money.

And in this last picture, you can see a rebuilt city slowly starting to get bigger and bigger!

I have also created a water shader to make water more believable and started work on a simple pedestrian and traffic system. The latter will spawn more cars with time to simulate an increase in traffic.

Lastly, there is also a new task that I have added. I have to make new sets since the old ones, unfortunately, do not fit anymore.
