Patch notes for 10.2 are here!

This update is going to be pretty eventful (wink wink) as soon our Love Event will start! This time, a series of challenges will await you, aiming at reuniting some of GWENT's most known couples.

That is not the only treat this month, as the new Journey is starting tomorrow (but more about that when the Patch goes live). Of course we didn't forget about the regular balance changes and fixes.

New Features

- New Journey featuring Dandelion

- New Love Event!
Help lovers reunite and receive unique cosmetics!
Take part in challenges to help out Eist, Calanthe, Philippa and Dijkstra. Finishing each quest grants a reward, while completing all of them will grant the player a unique new skin for Queen Calanthe.
The event starts Friday, February 11th and ends Tuesday, February 22nd.

- Added a reward tree for Syndicate in the Reward Book Tutorial page.
- Added a new Coin highlight that reminds players to end the turn.

Game Fixes

- Fixed a crash that was sometimes occurring on launch for Mac M1 devices

- Corrected the Order icons for Wyvern Scale Shield, Mastercrafted Spear and Shani.

- Old Speartip: Asleep no longer Banishes self when unable to Summon Old Speartip due to a lack of space.

- Ardal aep Dahy now correctly updates its return-to-hand ability value when being played by the opponent (e.g. through Cantarella).

- Damien de la Tour now correctly resets the Lyrian Scytheman limitation for Uprising.

- Chapter of Wizards is no longer able to copy Disloyal Mages being played by your opponent.

- Chapter of Wizards is no longer able to Spawn the unit that your last played Mage was transformed into (e.g. Ethereal).

- King Henselt now reacts correctly to Casting Contest and Viraxas resetting the cooldowns of adjacent units. King Henselt is now correctly boosted as a result of Stockpile, when one of the adjacent units is on Cooldown, and the other is not.

- Francesca Findabair no longer ignores specials played from the opponent's side of the board, for example by using Lydia Van Bredevoort.

- Milva: Sharpshooter now damages the target after being Summoned, as per the ability tooltip.

Welcome in the New Year!

In the spirit of "new year, new me", our Draft Mode leaves early access, which means that some long awaited changes are coming to it!

Draft mode leaves early access!
  • Tickets - Starting a new run in Draft mode will now require a ticket. Each player will be granted a free ticket upon login!
  • Rewards - Players will now be rewarded based on the performance of their runs.

Season of the Wild Hunt has started

Wintery December arrived, and with it the new patch for GWENT.

Update 9.6 introduces 12 new cards, with fan favourites like King Radovid V.

While the card drop is definitely the highlight this time, there is also the usual slew of balance changes, quality of life improvements and fixes. You can read about all of the details below.

At the start of your turn, transform all cards in your hand into random ones that cost 1 provision more

14.12. - 21.12. Dual Casting

Once per turn, when you play a special card, spawn and play a copy of it immediately

21.12. - 28.12. Power Shift

At the start of the match, set the power of every unit in your starting deck to its Provision Cost

28.12. - 04.01. Battle Rush

Both players have just 8 seconds to complete their turn and 15 seconds to complete the redrawing phrase

04.01. - 13.01. Seesaw

On the end of the player's turn: Damage player's odd power units by 1, Boost player's even power units by 1

This season is planned to end on January 13th, 10:00 a.m. CET.

  • Change of the path to access Reward Book and Draft. Reward Book is accessed in the Main Menu. Draft access has been moved to the Play Menu.
  • The Drain keyword now ignores Armor.

  • Fixed an issue that was preventing users from launching the game after logging in on certain Android devices.
  • Playing Duchess' Informant and Emissary can now be cancelled, when you are selecting a target for their Deploy abilities.
  • Premium Vanadain will now correctly Spawn Premium copies of Waylay.
  • Olgierd: Immortal is no longer unable to lose Armor when taking damage that exceeds the Armor amount.
  • Saov Ainmhi'dh: Unity's provision cost has been corrected in order to match Saov Ainmhi'dh.
  • Players are able to correctly connect their GOG and Twitch accounts on PlayGWENT

Season of Mahakam has started

Update 9.5 is almost here. It's the spooky season, and The Witcher world celebrates it with the Saovine Event! Players will be able to unlock new ornaments, by completing quests given by the scariest sister trio you know. We also introduce a new Journey, which will be revealed tomorrow, but let's say it fits the spooky theme. Other than that, some quality of life improvements have made it into the game, like quickening the gameplay, and the Reward Book tutorial page. Of course the regular balance changes are also here. Read on all of the changes in detail below:

Whenever you play a unit from your hand, play a unit with the same Provision Cost from your deck. Your starting deck is doubled in size at the start of the match.

  • The products in Shupe's Shop are now grouped within new sub-categories.
  • Reduced the display duration of cards played by opponents, which will speed up the average game times.


New Features


  • New Journey, with new contracts, rewards and story.
  • The Saovine event returns! You will be able to help the Crones with their chores to unlock new rewards. After helping the chosen Crone, you will be able to help the second and third one. You will receive a special coin for helping out two of the Crones, and a border trinket for completing all of their tasks.
  • -30% sale for spooky ornaments for the duration of the Saovine Event.
  • Introduced a new Reward Book tutorial page made for the new players, with intention to help them improve their starting decks. The page is available to all players.
  • Added new effects for ability Cooldowns, Counters, Fees, and Insanity costs.
  • Introduced a change to the "Exit Without Saving" button in the Deck Builder, where players will now only receive the confirmation pop-up if the deck is invalid.

Game Fixes


  • Prophet Lebioda no longer grants Shield to Disloyal units.
  • Illusionist no longer triggers its own Bonded effect when Spawning a copy of an Illusionist from the enemy graveyard.
  • Incubus no longer Summons a unit from its owner's graveyard if an enemy unit can not be Summoned to the opposite row due to being full.
  • Ignatius Hale can no longer reach negative Tribute while using the Off The Books leader ability.
  • Emhyr var Emreis will no longer place a card back into the deck if no card was drawn.
  • Confession Extractor's Counter will remain unchanged if the unit that received a Bounty was destroyed before it was Confession Extractor's turn to deal damage to it.
  • Aretuza Adept is no longer boosted by units with Patience that had their Orders reset by Tissaia de Vries after Aretuza Adept's end of turn effects were already triggered.
  • Alissa Henson will now correctly select a random copy of the target bronze special, and will no longer result in only one copy being shuffled into the deck.
  • Imperial Practitioner will no longer ignore the card that entered the enemy graveyard, if there was already a copy of the same card there.
  • The Scoundrel is no longer blocked from Summoning a unit to the opposite side, if The Scoundrel's own row is full.
  • The Brute will now ignore units that had a Bounty on them previously, but were destroyed without it.
  • Music will now play again, as intended, during Tutorial matches
