[/p]
First look at Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon
[p]Get ready to go spelunking for precious loot, Vault Hunter. Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon* arrives on February 26, and we have plenty of new content:[/p]
[/p][p]A wretched malevolence lurks within the abandoned mines of Kairos. For centuries, the Augers have quelled rumblings from the deep by sending human sacrifices to the fabled Stone Demon, but Defiant Calder is determined to end these barbaric rituals for good.[/p][p]In Legend of the Stone Demon, you'll delve into an ancient cavern alongside Calder and eliminate threats among rich veins of crystalline Ordonite. Take on new Ordonite-encrusted enemy types and four new boss fights, all in hopes of scoring powerful new Pearlescent-rarity loot (that's even more Legendary than Legendaries). [/p][p]By fully completing the new mission in Bounty Pack 2, you'll unlock a new Vault Hunter Skin usable by all Vault Hunters, a new Vehicle Skin, and a new ECHO-4 Drone Skin. Read more about it here![/p][p]

[/p][p][/p]
Steam Community Photopalooza
[p]As you take photos and drop them in Steam, we’ll round up a few of our favorites for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy the beauty of chaos - er, I mean, Kairos![/p][p]Legendary Star for this INCREDIBLE shot by renfield:[/p][p]

[/p]
Behind the Team: Joseph Joyal, Borderlands 4 Senior VFX Artist
[p]Every week, we’re spotlighting one of the minds behind the mayhem. You’ll get to learn about folks from both Gearbox and 2K, and how each person who touches the game both influences and is influenced by Borderlands 4. This week, we're talking with Joseph Joyal, Gearbox’s Senior VFX Artist:[/p][p]
[/p][p]What makes a VFX moment truly memorable, in your opinion?[/p][p]Joseph: As an artist, for me it’s more the VFX that make me stop and think "How did they accomplish this?" If I have to stop what I am doing and start breaking apart what is happening in the effect, it is going to be memorable to me. It is not always the big moment or flashy VFX but new approaches and styles that draw my eye.[/p][p] [/p][p]How do you know when an effect is “done?”[/p][p]Joseph: I am sure most artists would agree, our work is never done in our eyes. The challenge for knowing when a visual effect is done comes down to a few things. First: does it accomplish its gameplay intention? Then, if it's a big moment or Action Skill type of effect, it needs to hit that threshold for uniqueness and wow factor while still being performant. This is when you need to get feedback from your fellow VFX Artists and Art Direction teams to make sure you hit the standards that are set for the game. After a while it becomes second nature to know when to stop and move on to the next VFX.[/p][p] [/p][p]Do you have a favorite type of effect to create?[/p][p]Joseph: I love making electricity and Shock effects. I find them to be the most fun to explore and play around with. You can make them look unique in completely different ways. There is also the challenge of finding better processes and ways to create electrical VFX that I really enjoy exploring.[/p][p]
