Patch #1 Patch Notes

Thank you everyone for a great launch! We’re so happy to see people enjoying the unique experience that BPM offers. We’ve been working on a patch last week to fix some issues. This is not the end of our support for BPM but the beginning.

  • Feature – Added new weapon.
  • Feature – Map goes to the middle of the screen when you press tab.
  • Fixed – If you fall off a platform you can’t double jump. (ODR run killer)
  • Fixed – Game restoring the player to bad locations after falling into pits.

  • Fixed – Duplicate skeleton keys and duplicate lucky dice appearing.
  • Fixed – Mage enemy getting stuck in walls.
  • Fixed – Audio settings not loading on launch.
  • Fixed – Toned down some screen flashes. More to be done here.
  • Fixed – Dragon’s Heart has been renamed “Dragon’s Skin” and the description modified to be less confusing.
  • Fixed – “Asp's Whisper” combined with certain weapons completely stopping bosses moving.
  • Fixed – Upped max FOV to 145 for ultrawidescreen users.
  • Fixed – Raygun impact effect is off time. (Removed impact for raygun)

  • Balance – Nidhogg health quadrupled.
  • Balance – Vanaheim onwards boss health increased.
  • Balance – Dragon’s Skin has been made more rare and moved into the ‘Valkyrie’ pool.
  • Balance – Dragon’s Skin has been nerfed to build shield at 50% of the previous rate.
  • Balance – Demon pools have been modified to favour good stuff.
  • Balance – Mechanised Monster does a similar effect to the shield enemies to better communicate that they can’t be damaged when locked down.
  • Balance – Gauss cannon has been slightly nerfed, but it’s still heart-rendingly OP.
  • Balance – Gauss cannon is more often on the ‘expensive’ pedestal in the armoury.
  • Balance – Heal ultimate is less powerful.
  • Balance – Other small fixes.

You’ll have to start a new run to get some of these changes.

We’ve been reading your comments. We’ll be focusing on doing the things that improve the game for everyone over the coming months. Going forwards we want to add more: difficulties, challenges, characters, items, modes and weapons.
