Executive Producer Letter - Q2 2025

[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Hi folks! [/p][p]As we head into the second half of the year, there’s quite a bit that has happened since March, and even more to look forward to for the rest of 2025. Let’s first take a look back on what’s happened in the last few months and then I’ll get into what’s coming up in the near future. [/p][p]Game Updates [/p][p]On March 11th, we released Galactic Seasons 8 in Game Update 7.6.1 “Rising Powers”, allowing players to obtain extra abilities to annihilate their enemies and complete Uprisings even faster. This update also came with additional customizations for the Basilisk companion B3-S1, the return of our Spring Event, new Utility Bundles in the Cartel Market, and new rewards for players who completed R-4 Anomaly Operation Veteran Mode in under 40 minutes.[/p][p]Game Update 7.7 “Dynamic Worlds” was released on May 28, and it came with new Dynamic Encounters for the starter planets, capital planets, and Ilum which included a ton of new rewards and Achievements to earn! [/p][p][/p][p](Coruscant Conspiracy Console (Achievement Reward))[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p](Imperial Massive Cannon)
[/p][p]Speaking of, there are additional Achievements, rewards, and augments to earn for the toughest players who are experienced enough to take on Relentless Replication Master Mode.    [/p][p](Replication Throne Mount)
[/p][p]This update also included PvP Season 8 “Champions of the Wild”, various quality of life improvements, combat updates, Cartel Market items inspired by the Disney+ series Andor™ on, and a wide array of new skin color customizations across Cathar, Chiss, Mirialan, Nautolan, Sith Pureblood, Togruta, and Twi’lek characters. That’s over 400 new skin colors across these species that were never available prior to 7.7. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p](Examples of new skin colors for Togruta, Nautolan, Cathar, Mirialan, and Twi’lek characters)[/p][p][/p][p]Players also saw updates for character modernization. The adjustments focused on facial definition and skin texture changes, a fix for the splotchiness seen on vibrant colored species, and bringing parity to what is shown in the Preview Window and seen in general gameplay. [/p][p]Special Events[/p][p]In between the two latest updates, we had the opportunity to be part of Star Wars Celebration 2025™ in Japan! A video featurette aired on April 19 giving the broader Star Wars™ audience a look into The Old Republic™ and a little tease into upcoming story content. [/p][p][/p][p]It was fantastic being able to celebrate Star Wars™ with so many players over the course of the weekend both in person and in-game. For Celebration, we released a Jubilee Hoverpod log in reward, Naboo Speeder Type-C Subscriber Mount, and a redeemable Amethyst Vulptilla mini-pet. Players have been very interested in the subscriber rewards, and so expect to see more rewards in the near future. [/p][p]Hot on the heels of Celebration, we released a May 4th B25-SAL mini-pet log in reward, ran a Double XP event, and had various sales happening in the Cartel Market. [/p][p][/p][p]What else is happening?
[/p][p]DirectX 12[/p][p]We also saw a lot of questions during our 7.7 livestream asking for updates on DirectX 12 (DX12). Currently, we have a working version of the game running in DX12! However, we still have more to do before we can release a version for players to test such as converting the game’s UI system to DX12 and ensuring any major bugs are identified and resolved. We will have more to share later this year, but I am pleased with the progress the team has been making on this initiative![/p][p][/p][p]What’s coming up? 
[/p][p]Our next seasonal event is arriving in just a couple weeks! Nar Shaddaa Nightlife will be returning on July 8th! A separate article will be published at a later time focusing on new rewards and some updates coming to the event. [/p][p]Those familiar with our content calendar will know Game Update 7.7.1 is our next release. With it, players can expect the next Galactic Season. When we get closer to talking about the next season, we will unveil the theme and its new rewards. [/p][p]Players will also see additional updates to our character modernization efforts in 7.7.1. The most important of these will be the anticipated improvements for Rattataki to give them the same attention other species recently received. Companions not covered in 7.7 will also be getting some love, as well as continuing refinements and bug fixes based on your feedback. [/p][p]I know many of you have been asking for updates on the story content and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your patience. I am happy to say that we will have concrete details of the release of Galactic Threads and Master’s Enigma in our upcoming 7.7.1 livestream, so we are looking forward to sharing the story roadmap with you all then. [/p][p]The team and I thank you for your continued support of this beloved game, and we cannot wait to show you what’s in store for it. Game Update 7.7d Patch Notes

[p]General [/p]
  • [p]Attempting to summon another mount while already mounted will no longer cause an unintended animation. [/p]
  • [p]The top Guild Contributor leaderboard has been restored to the Guild Invasions tab. [/p]
  • [p]Cinematic trailers now play at the volume that are applied in settings. [/p]
[p]Character Customization [/p]
  • [p]Corrected an issue where players opening the Character Customization window would have a random skin tone selected in rare circumstances. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that changed the fur colors of existing Cathar NPCs. [/p]
  • [p]Corrected the skin color issues that were present on characters displaying Dark Side corruption.[/p]
    • [p]There may be some cases where players will still see this issue present. We are continuing to investigate these edge cases.  [/p]
[p]Dynamic Encounters
[/p][p]General [/p]
  • [p]Completing Dynamic Encounters on Dromund Kaas and Coruscant now track progress toward the Dynamic Encounter Pinnacle objective. [/p]
    • [p]Note that Dynamic Encounters on the starter planets do not count toward Conquest. [/p]
[p]Dromund Kaas [/p]
  • [p]\[General] Several boss enemies in Dynamic Encounters have been given the correct immunity buffs.  [/p]
  • [p]\[Shocking Developments] Enemy waves now spawn correctly allowing players to complete the encounter. [/p]
  • [p]\[Shocking Developments] Updated the mapnotes to ensure they do not overlap on the map. [/p]
  • [p]\[Powder Keg] The failure state has been removed from the encounter to reduce mission step confusion and allow players more time to disable the air support beacons. [/p]
  • [p]\[Ritual Killing] Updated the missions steps to include “Defeat Ritual Master” alongside the disruption mission step to allow players to complete the encounter even if another player has defeated the Ritual Master. [/p]
  • [p]\[Ritual Killing] Balanced the Ritual Master by lowering damage output. [/p]
  • [p]\[Dark Temple] The Sith Spirits now have shared tagging. [/p]
  • [p]\[Venerated Relics] Players can now complete the encounter even after Nil Venerous has been previously defeated. [/p]
  • [p]\[Venerated Relics] The Mark of Power buff from the Symbol of Power item now correctly increases a player’s health and damage by 3% per stack. [/p]
  • [p]\[Lord Grathan’s Assault] Visual issues with the Grathan Sith Commander’s model have been corrected. [/p]
  • [p]\[Sith Affairs] The voice dialogues for Lords Apago and Cyone now trigger during the correct mission step. [/p]
  • [p]\[Hard Target] Balanced the bosses by lowering their levels and health. [/p]
  • [p]\[Rogue Droid Uprising] The description and mission steps now refer to the correct name of the encounter. [/p]
  • [p]\[Rogue Droid Uprising] The Speedy Systems Specialist Achievement Achievement now correctly refers to the correct name of the encounter. [/p]

  • [p]\[Kaas City Expansion] The name of the encounter is now consistent in the Mission Tracker and Legacy Window. [/p]

[p]Coruscant [/p]
  • [p]\[General] Several boss enemies in Dynamic Encounters have been given the correct immunity buffs.  [/p]
  • [p]\[Blot Out the Sun] This Achievement has been moved to the correct category in the Achievements Window. [/p]
  • [p]\[They’re Listening! and Vandals at the Gate] The encounters no longer overlap when they are active. [/p]
  • [p]\[Detention Is Over and Vandals at the Gate] The companion is now resummoned automatically when the player is no longer polymorphed. [/p]
  • [p]\[Understaffed] The mapnotes for these encounters now appear on the map as intended. [/p]

[p]Ilum[/p]
  • [p]\[Deflecting Their Blows] The Republic Saboreur NPCs are no longer missing their idle animations. [/p]
  • [p]\[Troubled Tauns] Players can no longer use the Cleaning Solvent on a Tauntaun that has already been cleansed. [/p]
  • [p]\[Clear the Crystals] Fixed an issue that caused a delay between the mortar ammunition impact with the ground and the corresponding visual effects. [/p]
  • [p]\[Shivering Stand] Fixed animation issues that were present on the Damaged Assault Droids. [/p]
  • [p]\[Shivering Stand] The Damaged Assault Droid is now visible. [/p]
  • [p]\[Frozen Front] The correct animation now triggers when the Rocket Stockpiles are destroyed.  [/p]
[p]Hutta[/p]
  • [p]\[Jiguuna Cleanup] Players that log out then back in during the encounter while they are controlling a droid can now interact with the terminal to complete the mission.[/p]
  • [p]\[Jiguuna Cleanup] Fixed an issue that caused the visual effects of the Ion Beam and Twin-linked Railgun abilities to not appear when they are cast. [/p]
[p]Ord Mantell[/p]
  • [p]\[General] Corrected many instances of mission names and step progress not appearing in tooltips when hovering over relevant objects or NPCs. [/p]
  • [p]\[Good Mantellian] The Separatist Defector NPCs now have idle animations. [/p]
  • [p]\[Boss Remak] Updated the respawner timer for Ethan Remak so that he respawns more often.  [/p]
[p]Hoth[/p]
  • [p]\[Ice Fishing] Fixed the skin texture on the ice fisherman NPC. [/p]
  • [p]\[Pirate Problem] Players can now progress through the encounter regardless if other players have completed all the mission steps. [/p]
[p]Missions[/p]
  • [p]\[Quesh Inoculation] The Inoculations missions icons now appear as purple on the map. [/p]
  • [p]\[Iokath: Lost Arsenal] The player’s companion is now desummoned when the player is polymorphed as a Factory Remote. [/p]
  • [p]\[Iokath: Mounted Turret] Corrected an issue that prevented the player’s companion from being resummoned after the player exited a mounted turret. [/p]
  • [p]\[Whispers in the Force] Players will now receive the mail “I’ll return soon” from Arcann after completing Whispers in the Force. [/p]
  • [p]\[Whispers in the Force] Players will no longer receive identical mail messages from Arcann when making a specific decision after completing Whispers in the Force. [/p]
  • [p]\[Balmorra: A Question of Motivation] All players who are in a group will now be able to loot the schematic fragments.  [/p]
  • [p]\[Makeb: Shelter From the Storm] Added a mapnote for Shalim Avesta when the player is inside the phase.  [/p]
  • [p]\[Old Wounds: Meet with Dr. Oggurobb] Darth Rivix/Tau Adair are now granted as guest companions during this mission step. [/p]
  • [p]\[Manaan: Retaliation] The conversation with Captain Jhanil no longer triggers when the player is outside the building. [/p]
  • [p]\[The Wretch King] A mapnote has been added for the last step in the mission. [/p]
[p]Items[/p]
  • [p]Players can no longer get stuck if they jump on the Empty Fireworks Launcher decoration. [/p]
  • [p]The Propagator Core XR-53 Trophy Decoration now correctly appears in the Preview Window. [/p]
  • [p]The Conspiracy Console, Ancient Kaas Sarcophagus, and the Training Bay decorations now cite Achievements as their source. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that prevented the Republic Kolto Tank decoration from dropping during its respective Dynamic Encounter on Ilum.  [/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented the Harbinger of Fear, Martinique Desler, and Commandant Jenarian from correctly dropping their rare loot.[/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue that caused the magnifying button to lose its functionality when a custom interface is created. [/p]
[p]Abilities [/p]
  • [p]When polymorphed as Tythe, the Intensify Rage ability now generates 2 stacks of Rage as intended. [/p]
  • [p]When polymorphed as Tythe, the Rage Overload ability can now be used at 10 stacks of Rage as intended.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected an issue causing some abilities, such as Swiftness on Sentinels and Marauders, to give more movement speed than intended. [/p]

  • [p]Level 73 ability tree option Avoidance/Celerity now reduces the cooldown of Jolt/Mind Snap by 3s, Unbreakable Will/Force of Will by 45s and Force Speed by 5s.[/p]

  • [p]Level 51 passive Duplicity/Infiltration Tactics now grants 25% bonus maul/shadow strike damage up from 20%. Can now occur every 8 seconds down from 10 seconds.[/p]
  • [p]Level 23 passive Dark Embrace/Shadow's Respite now grants 20% damage reduction up from 15%.[/p]
[p]All Sorcerer/Sage Disciplines[/p]
  • [p]Resurgence/Rejuvenate base force cost up from 50 to 60[/p]
  • [p]Static Barrier/Force Armor base force cost up from 45 to 55[/p]
