[IMPORTANT!] Schwarzerblitz v 1.2.7 - beta branch patch with major AI bug fix
This patch applies ONLY to the endless-beta branch of the game. To opt-in, right click on Schwarzerblitz in your Steam library, select Properties, Beta and use the password mysteryjohnson to unlock it.
This is the last beta update before the release of version 1.3 of the game

In the past four months, I have received wildly different reports about the game's difficulty. Some players found the difficulty pitiful, while some couldn't beat the arcade boss at Medium without summoning the help of eldritch fiends and asking for the intercession of the power that be. This wild swing was not only unexpected, but also concerning.
Furthermore, watching videos uploaded on YT by different players, I noticed that the difficulty seemed wildly inconsistent even when the difficulty settings were the same.
Well, I've finally found the culprit.
There was a nasty, hidden, vicious bug that made the game's difficulty dependent on the frame rate of the PC the game was run on. This made the game a lot easier when played on high end PCs and much, much harder (borderline impossible) when played on lower-end PCs, causing the above differences.
I won't get into the technical details of the error (for those interested, a basic explanation can be found here, on my Twitter account), but suffices to say that what made the game impossible (or too easy) for you to play might have been a honest developer mistake.
I have fixed the bug and I will roll out the update to all branches at the end of the month. That said, you can already try the new version out in the endless-beta branch (password: mysteryjohnson). I hope you will enjoy the change, but for any feedback do not hesitate to open a community hub!
