Hotfix 1.29.1 Now Live on PC
[p]Hi hunters,[/p][p]After Update 1.29.1 went live, many of you reported issues that needed our immediate attention. Some players experienced certain herds losing their genetic potential after loading a save, with a few habitats affected more heavily than others. For those impacted — we’re genuinely sorry.[/p][p]The addition of turkeys in 1.29.1 unexpectedly put pressure on parts of the herd-management logic, which caused some herds to break and trigger resets. That one’s on us, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration it caused. Over the past two days, we’ve been digging into the issue, and the hotfix for Update 1.29.1 is now available on PC. [/p][p]
[/p][h3]Hotfix for Update 1.29.1 - Breakdown:[/h3]
- [p]Corrects the English name for Merriam’s turkey (other localizations will be fixed in an upcoming update).[/p]
- [p]Resolves an issue where Mule deer near the lodge could spawn in unusually high numbers.[/p]
- [p]Stops the herd-genetics reset from happening going forward.[/p]
- [p]Protects save files for anyone who had not loaded the game after Update 1.29.1. If you backed up your save or hadn’t launched the game yet, your herds should remain intact.[/p]
- [p]Fixed: An issue where certain herds would lose their genetic potential after loading a game.[/p]
- [p]Fixed: Mule deer near the lodge spawning in unusually large herd sizes.[/p]
- [p]Fixed: The turkey’s subspecies incorrect name in English localization (more localizations are on the way).[/p]
