Update 5.2.8

Fixes a crash when player withdraws from a battle, is forced to move into enemy-held territory, and another battle is triggered.

Edit: Also fixes a bug where after transferring to a new tank, crew did not have their CE status updated, which led to bugs such as them not being able to operate the gun in a restricted turret.

A minor update to fix a crash when the SPW 251/2 tried to attack.

Update 5.2.6

I've uploaded a minor patch, hoping to avoid some of the saved campaign corruptions that a small number of players have experienced. Basically the game used to save itself to disk after every phase during the scenario, which isn't at all required, so now it drastically reduces the number of times that it is writing to disc, hopefully avoiding these corrupted saved campaign files. I had already implemented this for 6.0, but it was an easy fix to add to the current 5.x branch.

Next Development Steps

The players have spoken, and of 153 responses, 64.1% said they would prefer a major update to come first, addressing the AI and adding major new features, before adding more campaigns.



So the current version 5.2.5 will stay on the default branch for some time, and in the meantime I will start work on version 6 and once I've added a few new features, I'll put it on a separate preview branch for player testing. Barbarossa is still coming though; I'll see if I can create a pair of 1941 German/Soviet campaigns for the preview branch to help test the new stuff.
