Harvest Island Thanks Community

Since the release of Harvest Island, it was pretty buggy and difficult to progress due to balancing issues. I spent the next week fixing, balancing, and listening the community's feedback. Even reading positive/negative reviews online with the harsh reviews on youtube. Now, the game is even more polished than before. I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Even though the game had a really bad start at launch, the review of 87% on steam means that I have done a satisfactory job for you guys that you can experience harvest island bug free and stress free! I'm very happy as I watch streamers play my game through twitch. Their reaction was priceless and there were a few long streams that lasted over 5+ hours! The story was pretty gripping to them! I even had a review where I changed a streamers life! Wow! I didn't think I could do that!

As my work slowly starts to die down (Finally), I will continue to fix bugs here and there when the community brings it up! There isn't much more to fix, since the game is balanced in story mode, and the normal mode is challenging enough to enjoy. Most of the work that you guys ask for QOL - These are three issues that I have heard. UI is bad, Movement/controls is bad and there's no map. These are really big issues but I cannot address these at all. It's just too difficult to implement in RPG Maker. My game engine has a big limitation. It wasn't made in unity where all of these can be fixed. Sorry guys =/ The game was designed to be a story-driven horror farming simulator. Emphasis on story telling. And judging from the reviews, I have delivered that. I'm a solo developer that had to make some tough choices when designing the game. Those are the 3 I could not overcome. But the experiences that this game provided allowed you guys to forgive these issues to a degree.

As for the future of Harvest Island. Some people might be wondering if there's a sequel. Of course there is! It ended off at a cliff hanger. A story needs to have an ending! It'll be a very long time before that sequel happens. In the meantime, I'll be working on the prequel, which was released back in 2019 as a demo. As the community builds up, and as Harvest Island continues to grow, this makes me feel like game development has been worth it. Starting out with nothing from scratch, and building upon it, I'm happy with how things turned out. As an indie developer, this has been a small success for me! Thank you guys for following me up until release, and thank you for being patient with me for fixing all these bugs when the game came out as well as giving me feedback, and reporting bug issues! I appreciate all your help!
