New Patch: The Siege of Khor'minos

[p]At long last, it’s time to finally break The Siege of Khor’minos and bring peace to the kingdom beneath the stone.[/p][p]This is the penultimate dungeon on the Main Story Questline, following up from A Feast For Heroes. In order to begin the dungeon, you must either talk to Calise in Khor’minos and rally the troops she requests or talk to Varena after having finished her bath house dungeon. These are two mutually exclusive paths into and through the dungeon; make your choice based on which of the girls you like (or trust) the most.[/p][p]Before you do the dungeon, let me say loud and clear: this dungeon is a Point of No Return as the end of the game’s 2nd Act, and beginning it will lock you out of the Winter Wolf and Harboring a Fugitive questlines once you begin. You can’t defeat the cult and then go back in time to cripple the cult; by extension, having done (or not done) those quests, as well as Etheryn’s personal quest The Demon of Ice, will have noticeable impacts on the dungeon. Calise and Varena will both point you towards these cult bases before you begin the quest as a reminder, but I figured I’d make sure it’s here in the announcement just in case. Other quests throughout Act 1 and 2 will remain available.[/p][p]Author's Note: If you follow Calise's Path through the quest, make sure to go talk to the major factions you've helped to recruit allies. It is possible to have insufficient allies to successfully complete the battle they're heading towards. If you follow Varena's Path, make sure to read the plan carefully. You will Bad End yourself if you do not follow the plan.[/p][p][/p]
0.8.25 Patch Notes
[p]The Siege of Khor'minos[/p]
• [p]Queen Etheryn, Queen Nyzerrah, Chieftain Arona, Ahmri, Asgeir (or Asynja), and Lumia all have new talks unlocked after A Feast For Heroes, allowing you to recruit their factions’ fighters to aid you in The Siege of Khor’minos. These are used in…[/p]
• [p]New minigame added: Mass Combat. If you choose Calise’s path through the campaign, you’ll be taking to the field as the commander of a rag-tag army assembled from across the Marches and heading into battle against the demons. Should you succeed (or otherwise go through Varena’s path, you’ll gain access to):[/p]
• [p]New dungeon added: Khor’torhen Fortress! A crumbling ruin that protects one of the waterways leading into Undermountain, now occupied by the Pleasure Cult and their demonic allies en masse. This is the heart of the cult’s war effort, their home base in the Marches and their most important stronghold by far. Take it down, and the siege will break. As you’d expect from any dungeon, there’s a number of new bosses, new weapons, gear, and powers to obtain, and plenty of salacious adventure to be had. [/p]
• [p]Finishing The Siege of Khor’minos now locks out Winter Wolf and Harboring a Fugitive; make sure you do these quests first if you ever intend to.[/p]
• [p]If Winter Wolf is failed, Annika will now appear once Act 3 starts and begin the invitation process to Lumia’s castle with appropriate tweaks.[/p]
• [p]Isadora, Varena, and Katya all have updated talks after you finish The Siege of Khor’minos.[/p]
• [p]New Busts: All the enemies in the Khor’torhen Fortress dungeon.[/p]
[p]Post Dungeon New Friend[/p][p]Pardon me walking on egg shells to avoid spoilers...[/p][p]In addition to some minor tweaks here and there post-dungeon, the first major character expansion after the fact is already available. By making certain choices at the end of Khor'torhen Fortress, you can allow one of the bosses to walk free with an oath to oppose you no more. [/p][p]However, it turns out she doesn't actually have a home, and will presently present herself at the Wayfort with an offer: shelter in exchange for her axe-arm. [/p]
• [p]After allowing {REDACTED BOSS IDENTITY} to walk free during The Siege of Khor'minos, she'll appear at the Wayfort. You can choose to let her stick around, or send her forth to never bother you again.[/p]
• [p]{REDACTED BOSS IDENTITY} has a set of new talk scenes and sex scenes, as you would expect. [/p]
• [p]{REDACTED BOSS IDENTITY} can serve as a trainer at the Wayfort, and has repeatable sparring options (which also get you access to edited versions of her hostile sex scenes). [/p]
• [p]New CG: {REDACTED BOSS IDENTITY} spreading her legs for your inspection (by Akira).[/p]
[p]Hotaru Pregnancy Expansion[/p][p]We've also got a massive off-season pregnancy expansion for you while we’re chewing through the post-Main Story Quest content. Tobs dropped off a ~300 page Hotaru expansion for us — talk about filling her out.[/p]
• [p]Hotaru, another of the kitsune den’s denizens, can now be impregnated. Requires that you’ve already had a child with any of Miko, Mai, Rindo, or Kohaku, have fucked Hotaru before, and have a virile penis.[/p]
• [p]Hotaru can now be encountered during the night, which has a number of additional interactions, after her first time.[/p]
• [p]Hotaru’s new expansion includes a little shy of 300 pages of new sex, pregnancy scenes, and updated interactions with the new mother.[/p]
• [p]Several other den-izens have talks about Hotaru and your new relationship.[/p]
[p]Other Notables:[/p]
• [p]We've added a BUNCH of new achievements (eyeballing it, increasing the total by about 50%) covering pretty much the entirety of the game's 2nd act. [/p]
• [p]The questlog previously stopped tracking The Siege of Khor’minos after the the first of its 4 parts; it now is properly tracked throughout the Siege, and gives way to the next Main Story Quest after it is finished.[/p]
• [p]Kasyrra freaking out about you telling her that you’re Soulbound has been progression locked to only occur after The Siege of Khor’minos.[/p]
• [p]Kasyrra (as fought in the Winter City) has been buffed to take advantage of higher-level features now being coded into the game.[/p]
• [p]The Faceless Blade (as fought in the Grave of Saints) has had her Swift Sword taken away on difficulties below Dark, meaning she’s unable to softlock you into eternal and unending battle if you don’t have the damage output to match her healing. Playing on Dark, we still expect you to have good enough party composition to deal with it.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an error that was causing the Faceless Blade’s encounter in the Ring of Fate Investigation sidequest to crash the game.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash caused by using the Rusty Knife in combat.[/p]
• [p]Fixed the Mystic Mischief quest saying Marilla/Vitruvius were ready for pickup when you still had to wait a day.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a combat crash when Kiyoko was using her Kangen set and used Laughter of Heaven and Earth on an enemy with no recharge powers[/p]
• [p]Fixed Olivia’s pregnancy duration resetting to default length after loading the game.[/p]
• [p]You can now use Stonepiercer (a new item from Khor'torhen Fortress) instead of Camping Supplies in the Undermountain mining event.[/p]
• [p]New Busts: Sea Wyrm from LivreaQuest. [/p]
[p]Now that that's out of the way! A couple of quick notes about what is NOT in this patch:[/p]
• [p]There is an ending unlocked by defeating a Certain Boss within Khor’torhen Fortress. It is not intended that the average player will ever achieve this, but it is coded in just in case. In order to avoid spoiling the game’s end early (and also avoid having to rewrite anything since we still have a bit to go before the intended True End), this just results in a developer message saying good job. When version 1.0 releases, this will be updated to fork into the True Ending.[/p]
• [p]There is another successful dungeon-end (not game-end, though) which would cause the PC (and potentially Calise) to be transported to another area (in the Coastlands) after finishing the Siege. This will just be marked on your save, and when that secondary dungeon is added in, you’ll get teleported there. In the meantime, you can continue to play your save as normal.[/p]
• [p]A couple of important NPCs can be yeeted into your Wayfort’s dungeon; as is tradition, actual interactions with them is something we’ll get around to later. (I hear Fleep’s making good progress on the Dragon Knight from Dracia!)[/p]
• [p]Calise suggests a few times during the events that you should talk after the dungeon finishes. Presupposing you and her are still on good terms when the dungeon ends, anyway. This event isn’t in yet; she’s due for a fairly substantial expansion soon and I’ll be saving this set of events to be part of that content drop.[/p]
• [p]If you have romanced Varena, after the quest one of the rewards you can ask for from King Kelsaz is her hand in marriage. The event for actually acting on this didn’t quite make it in for this patch, but should be in for next patch.[/p]
[p]As for what comes next? Well, Varena's got that follow-up that's making its way through the code pipe, and the game's next (and final) major area, the Coastlands, is mostly done with initial writing and into review. [/p][p]I've started working on a minor area that's long overdue, meanwhile: Tychris, the City of Glass, a principality in the other direction entirely where Cait's been dying to go since you first found her dad waiting for a caravan there that was never going to come. This is also where the Church of Nareva, goddess of magic, has its regional headquarters, and presents Champions with particular aptitudes in magic and investigation a chance to impress the serpent-deity (and perhaps even an opportunity to join the ranks of her Godsworn). [/p][p]But first, there's a princess in dire need of saving...[/p]

New Patch: Happy Moo Year

[p]Hello, Champions, it’s been a while![/p][p]I don’t mean to alarm you, but primary coding on the next phase of the Main Story Quest is now complete — we’ve just got to put it together with the rest of the game and subject it to some rigorous testing.[/p][p]While the coders are putting the finishing touches on that, I’m currently working on some post-Siege content that’ll be highly appropriate for the Year of the Horse, with a lady built like a draft horse (unrelated to the fact that she’s half marefolk) — and she fucks just as hard as one. We’re also gearing up for a couple big upcoming projects that’ll start dropping after the Siege storyline: Tychris, the City of Sorcery, home to the Temple of Nareva and the frostscale salamanders, and the Coastlands, the last of our planned explorable regions. TheObserver and I have been pounding out room descriptions for the zone, and I’m starting to review some of the encounters that our commission writers have turned in for it. Love it when a plan zone comes together.[/p][p]In the meantime, though, I present something that’s been deep in my backlog… deep enough that it got mined out by community writer MagentaNeedle and brought to a creamy completion. Cait’s source of sexy red leather is finally about ready to wake up! And I’m sure the mare ‘mirers will have their way too, starting with the cow-shaped mare spirit Elosa herself today![/p][p][/p][p]0.8.22 Patch Notes:[/p]
• [p]It has been a hot minute but the Half-Gnoll Spellblade from all the way back in Cait’s original personal quest is finally recovering from her coma! Visit Sanders’ church after finishing Cait’s quest and talk to the priest to see how you can help the poor thing out.[/p]
• [p]Kira, the Spellblade, has a pair of small quests to get her back in shape: one to help her recover from her experiences, and another to get a replacement for the clothes Cait yoinked (no Cait will not just give them back).[/p]
• [p]Once she’s up and about, Kira has a selection of talk and sex scenes, including a Cait threesome.[/p]
• [p]Kesuk & Marigold, the merchant pair in the Winter City, have a new expansion coded in.[/p]
• [p]You can now upgrade Kesuk’s cock to be a more proper size, and in so doing, give the poor lad a lot more confidence. This comes with several new sex scenes with him and Mary to take advantage of both the attitude and equipment adjustment, plus updates to existing ones. If you’re a fan of femboy tops, this is your day![/p]
• [p]If you do the above, you can also regain access to an even leakier submissive Kesuk by slapping that thang in a cage.[/p]
• [p]Elosa, the mysterious spirit from VarenaQuest, can now be summoned at the Wayfort with a couple of new sex scenes. [/p]
• [p]Having the translated tablet from the Temple of Elosa now properly removes the Cunning requirement to bind Elosa herself during Varena’s bath house quest.[/p]

New Patch: Meridyxmas!

[p]The holidays are upon us! Lumia (who is jolly, lives in the north pole, and surrounds herself with elves. Coincidence? I think not!) and Etheryn have a new scene with a bit of holiday dressup, accompanied by a delightful new CG. And Moira gave herself a Christmas present — her words, not mine — by redrawing Elthara’s basic waifu bust. And I gotta say, that’s a present for all of us. [/p][p]Plus, we've got a couple of new characters (or well, one new and one returning from her dungeon appearance): Hed the femboy birdmorph and Meridyx the Impette![/p][p][/p][p]0.8.20 Patch Notes:[/p]
• [p]Lumia has ordered several festivus outfits to try on, and wouldn’t you know it? One is exactly Ryn’s size! Stop by with your elven companion(uncaged, Lumia prefers
• that* present to be open.) so you can see them try on their new outfits, and then bully the poor(lucky) girl till she cums.[/p]
• [p]Meridyx the imp can now be encountered in the Old Forest after finishing KnotQuest, assuming she’s still alive and that you encountered her there. Comes with the expected host of new repeatable sex scenes, both for beating her up or just submitting to her outright… but who would do that to a lowly imp?[/p]
• [p]Meridyx can be knocked up, furthering the imp population.[/p]
• [p]Once you and Meridyx are on good terms (ie. have fucked her a bunch), you can invite her to visit your camp, turning her effectively into a Follower.[/p]
• [p]There’s a new featherbrain running around the place — Hed! You can find him via the Frosthound’s ‘guests’ menu between 10:00~13:00 and 18:00~22, after completing the Winter City. Hed is a femboy bird-morph with a ditzy demeanor and a nigh-insatiable libido, all of which came from experimental alchemy. He’s got a set of his own sex scenes, but also has special encounters with Rune, Rumie, Pupperidge Farm, and the Kervus Tribe post Right of Conquest. They’ll start popping up once you’ve built some affection with the birdie.[/p]
• [p]While Calise’s moved into her apartment in Khor’minos after the Feast For Heroes, you can reach out the door and grab Isadora and drag the ginger tomboy into a threesome with her mentor. Requires that you’ve fucked both of them individually before.[/p]
• [p]Painted Demons give more Corruption now when you fuck them. Can’t have an actual demon giving less than an imp, no matter how fat her ass may be.[/p]
• [p]Over 130 bugfixes and typo report fixes by our wiki guy Spotty. Huge ups to that madman.[/p]
• [p]New CG: Ryn + Lumia Holidays (by Moira)[/p]
• [p]New Busts: Elthara Redux & Caliope (Moira), Hed (by BK)[/p]

New Patch: Orbing Olivia, Big Cat Hunting, and Centaur Cider

[p]Olivia’s third major expansion is now live, with over 250 pages of pregnancy content for the doggy bard. Plus we've got a bunch of new cat-themed content this patch, because… hey, everybody loves catgirls! There's several new scenes involving Cait, plus a pack of new Leothran babes by big cat aficionado Wsan. Go forth and slay some pussy, Champion.[/p][p][/p][p]0.8.17 Patch Notes:[/p]
• [p]Olivia’s third expansion is now live, allowing you to preg the bratty bard. To unlock her new Breedplay scene, you need 20 Correction score with her — the scene where you tell her the love potion worked but had no effect. This is a one-time pregnancy unless…[/p]
• [p]If you have fully collared Olivia and she’s had her first pup, she will gain a repeatable \[Breed] scene, with obvious consequences.[/p]
• [p]Unsurprisingly this all comes with new talks, sex scenes, and changes throughout her previous content.[/p]
• [p]There’s a new encounter in the Frostwood: a band of female Leothran barbarians looking for playmates.[/p]
• [p]There’s a new variant of Ryn and Cait’s threesome wherein you can make Ryn all sorts of hot and bothered watching you plow Cait![/p]
• [p]Cait has a new set of sex scenes for if you OR her took Rimescore from the Knot Cave.[/p]
• [p]You can now find a new centauress, Caliope, in the north-western harvest valley, stuck in a demiplane apple orchard. She’s in desperate need of someone to talk to, and also potentially in need of someone to help milk delicious apple cider out of her. Heed her warning about the apples, though: they can be dangerous! Comes with the usual array of talks and a quartet of sex scenes, and there may be a bad end tucked away in there somewhere too…[/p]
• [p]Small!Lyric has a new footjob scene! [/p]
• [p]Kohaku has 2 new scenes: Mating Press and Titty Bully.[/p]
• [p]You can now recruit Brint a couple tiles outside Hawkethorne no matter which way you leave town by — Schrodinger’s Minotaur is now in full effect. This should make the early game just a LITTLE bit easier if you’re a new player and don’t pick up the signposting to go north, or just really wanna bum-rush your way towards some horsegirls down south![/p]
• [p]There’s a new masturbation scene for if the PC has Rimescore.[/p]
• [p]New CGs: Kohaku titty bullying (by Nyah), Cait Anal Pronebone (by Akira)[/p]

New Patch: Orctober, Canine Correction, Hornet Redux

[p]This one's a pretty stout bunch of content, so let's break it down into chunks:[/p][p]So I’m pretty much done with the next step of the Main Story Quest now, which is the end of The Siege of Khor’minos and the penultimate dungeon of the campaign. Just a couple bad-ends and the post-quest world changes need to be poked at now.[/p][p]With that on the imminent horizon (and figuring a lot of people are going to be starting new saves around the time it drops), the team’s decided to go back and revise what to us has been a bit of a bugbear for a while now: the Hornet Hive, Alraune, and Azzy’s recruitment. There’s been a lot of community feedback over these events over the years that basically breaks down into the following issues: people don’t like the binary choice between killing or enthralling the Alraune; the Hornet Hive’s “corruption path” is basically a dead end; Azzy’s recruitment is so obtuse that there’s a pretty constant thread of people going “wait you can recruit her??” and I can’t really blame them.[/p][p]So, here’s what's in the Hornet Hive Redux:[/p]
• [p]Azzy has a new introductory event that now replaces the mandatory Alraune Effigy encounter in the garden. The point of THAT encounter was always just to make sure you saw Effigies at least once before you saw their mom; now the burden of that has been moved into Azzy’s intro.[/p]
• [p]The progression to unlocking Azzy’s quest has been completely reworked: you just need to spar her, and she makes that abundantly clear in her dialogue. You no longer need to have cleared the Alraune’s Garden to being the quest, either.[/p]
• [p]The Hornet Hive Dungeon has had its level scale adjusted to be at least reasonably possible pre-Alraune Garden. Most enemies within have received a 1-2 level nerf.[/p]
• [p]The internal progression of the Hornet Hive dungeon has been reworked to no longer require you leave the hive to go purify the core: Liaden can now do the whole thing at once.[/p]
• [p]Pursuant to this, there is no longer an option to kick Liaden into the hornet honey pool. That dead end has been pruned. Instead, there is now an option to send Liaden to a nearby town (which removes her from the game). If you have a save wherein you kicka da paladin, you’ll be prompted to choose between the two options on load.[/p]
• [p]Azzy’s actual recruitment text has been cleaned up; the Champion is no longer quite so hypersexual about things if you haven’t already laid Azzy by then! Platonic knight-friend is valid.[/p]
• [p]There are new resolution options for the Alraune (note that killing or bedding her yourself is still totally on the table): if you have purified the Hornet Hive before tackling the Alraune’s Garden (which is an option now!), you can tag the hornets in to help contain the problem without killing or bedding the plant-milf.[/p]
• [p]… Alternatively if you have finished helping Ahmri’s centaurs, you can tag in the Behemoth to plow the Alraune into submission.[/p]
[p]I think that about sums it up.[/p][p]Next up, it's Orctober once again, and with it comes a host of new orc-focused scenes:[/p]
• [p]Ylvid has a new repeat scene wherein you can fuck Arona into her. (May result in one or more pregnant orcs)[/p]
• [p]Hretha has a new threesome option with Ylvid, which splits into a pair of sub-scenes. May result in pregnant orcs, conditions permitting.[/p]
• [p]Submissive Arona has a new scene wherein you really treasure her feminine side and work that pussy. [/p]
• [p]Eubicha has a new scene for letting Arona take a crack at that marepussy.[/p]
• [p]Ragnhild has a new nursing scene. [/p]
• [p]Grettel has a new combat victory scene for playing with her pussy all romantic like.[/p]
• [p]The Orc Twins from Snowcat Quest have a new pair of scenes: either they worship your cock, or you worship theirs. [/p]
[p]Olivia's got the first of her two planned expansions, this one focused on correcting her small-dog attitude. This includes a variety of scenes (progressed chiefly by fucking her) that each can increase her attitude adjustment; once adjusted, a lot of her content will change to reflect it.[/p][p]And there's some random misc. additions and updates as well:[/p]
• [p]Presence now boosts the starting Threat of “tank” summons, like Lapis Hoplite.[/p]
• [p]Burning now gives less Frost Resistance but reduces your Penetrating Resistance by -20.[/p]
• [p]The Fluffy Scarf has been nerfed.[/p]
• [p]A bunch of button names have had spaces added to them, bringing them in line with newer two-line button names since the UI change.[/p]
• [p]Magicocks no longer affect race scores for the Appearance Screen.[/p]
• [p]Common enemies with gear that you could purchase from the stores in Hawkethorne now have a low chance to drop their arms and armor as loot.[/p]
• [p]Attribute checks throughout the game have had a slight tweak to how their difficulty is calculated; it should be easier to hit par without needing Race/Class/Background bonuses.[/p]
• [p]New Busts: Revised Gytha (by Sunna, her original artist); Yashiko (by Moira)[/p]
• [p]New CGs: Rina Reverse Cowgirl (Moira); Tarah examining a chest (Joix), Winter City Bad End (CutiChan), Hana/Rindo Blowjob Redo (Onigiri), Hana Doggystyle (Akira)[/p]
[p]Like I said I’m dotting my Ts and crossing my Is on the next MSQ dungeon, which is a big chunky boi. (If you’re on our Discord you’ve probably seen me pulling my hair out and cursing Past Savin for how many threads are active throughout Act 2 that all need accounting for or resolution! There’s over 100 pages of post-end-boss narrative alone D:) It’ll probably be a bit between me sliding the finished product into Drake’s DMs and it releasing, because there’s, well, a lot of dungeon to code, including a whole new minigame! Please be patient just a little longer
