Wanderstop's first award nomination!!
📅 It’s Event Time 📅
The sun is shining which means it’s time to kick off game event season!
LudoNarraCon 2025
One of my personal favorites - LudoNarraCon - starts today (May 1st) and runs through May 5th! As a celebration of narrative games and their creators, it’s a great opportunity to pick up narrative-focused titles that you’ve been eyeing, listen to developers and panelists discuss writing and developing stories for games, AND add to your wishlist!
Wanderstop is participating in LudoNarracon, and we’re excited to share that you can pick up the game for 20% off! Creative director, Davey Wreden, is also taking part in a fireside chat, discussing game development and his experiences in the industry over the years ~ be sure to visit the LNC event page to check out that talk on their livestream!

Here’s the full list of titles participating: we’re in truly outstanding company! With all 50 titles, I don’t think you can really go wrong, but to help you get started, a couple of games I’d love to shout out and recommend you take a look at: 1000xRESIST, Keep Driving, and No, I’m Not a Human.
Gamescom LATAM BIG Festival
We’re also up for our first award! Whaaaat?! It’s absolutely wild (in the best way)!

The BIG Festival at Gamescom LATAM is the biggest festival in Latin America since 2012, and they do awards each year celebrating the industry and games. This year, we’re nominated for the WINGS Award, celebrating teams made predominantly of marginalized genders in the games industry. Keep your fingers crossed for us, and watch the award ceremony on their YouTube channel on Sunday, May 4, at 2 PM (GMT-3) -- this is about 7 am PST, so it’ll be a bit early if you’re in our neck of the woods, but the VOD will be up for whenever you'd like if you wanna sleep in!
đź‘€ Meet Niblet and Elk đź‘€
Every game has plot points, environments, writing, and characters that change over development or are even cut from the game entirely. Just for a little behind-the-scenes fun, and because we know we’re not going to be adding them in in the future, we wanted to share a peek at two characters that never made it into the final game.
From Aura, our lead animator: “These characters are Niblet and Elk, two folks who have fully functional character rigs but never ended up getting writing or animations. They were meant to be incidental characters, rather than have full plot lines.”

Thanks to Aura, our lead animator, for sharing insights on these two! Perhaps, if you’re inspired, let me know what you think: what would be the teas they’d request from the shop? 💗
That’s it for now!
We’ll have more updates in the near future, but until then, keep drinking tea and finding time to take a moment of rest when you can!
