Fabled Lands releases for Mac OS X!



Guys and gals, it's been a crazy month, but I am super excited to share the exciting NEWS with you!

[h2]First, I finally bring you Fabled Lands for Mac OS X.[/h2]

All my previous games on Steam launched on PC as well as on Mac but the new crazy notarizing process that Apple made obscured me of doing it in time for the launch. Well, now that the hype around the Early Access launch subsided I managed to finish my work and get it done. Let me know if you find any issues as usual on the Steam forums or Prime Games' Discord!

[h2]Second, what an amazing launch week for the Early Access! [/h2]

I am so thankful for all the positive emotion and wonderful words that people have said. It's a feat on its own to release a game solo in today's market but to be so positively received by folks from around the globe is a blast! Watching people play on Twitch and YouTube, seeing their reaction, reading all the wonderful reviews is simply amazing.

The Early Access surpassed 2700 sold copies in 3 weeks, gathered 15 000 wishlists and is closing in on the 100th review slowly but steadily (sitting currently at 87% Very Positive score).

[h2]Patch, patch, patch![/h2]

I patched the game vigorously over the past weeks with 82 bug fixes, additions, and improvements to make it stable and as bug free as possible. No matter if its Early Access I want to make it as polish as I can while I continue to work on expanding it.

You already saw the Explorer mode added to the base game and I am eager to improve on it further based on how you perceive it.

The full release will have twice the content it currently has with lots of many enhancements on the way.

All the above does not even compare tiny bit to the amazing fact that I became a father yesterday to a healthy little boy! My rank 0 adventurer and the newest member of Prime Games will roam the lands from now on and I am so happy and exhausted. That being said, I will be naturally taking some Personal Time Off :)

Oh, and Ironman mode rlz. Planning and beating all the odds and luck with no saving is brutally satisfying. But be cautious, you have to know your way around to do so 😊

  • Reworked Cultists event in Yellowport. Implemented more ways to handle the situation and escape.
  • Improved map locations on Isle of Druids switching on and off to avoid confusion.
  • Nerfed Guild investments. Knowing the best routes now gives +1 bonus instead of +2. Using the best routes knowledge is lost after each investment round and has to be reacquired.
  • Nerfed Shadar Tor kissed by a mermaid event for Explorer mode to lose your weapon and armour instead of your whole inventory.
  • Nerfed money loss in Yellowport random events for Explorer mode. Placed a cap on money loss instead of losing all your money.
  • Updated objectives Lullaby Dirge and Tomb Raider from Quest objectives to Exploration objectives.

  • Updated various weapons +2 and +3 to be able to sell them in specific markets.
  • Updated Silver nugget and Magic lockpicks icons.
  • Fixed ordinary flute giving +2 Charisma instead of +1.
  • Fixed persuading your crew when trying to reach Isle of Mystery not accounting for your rank.
  • Fixed Enchanted sword sometimes not showing in Lake of the Sea Dragon loot.
  • Fixed Gold Compass not showing in various places due to name confusion with Golden Compass.
  • Fixed text on Scorpion Antidote tooltip being cut.
  • Fixed wrong price of blessings at the temple of Tambu when initiate of Tambu.
  • Fixed wrong quotation marks used when meeting the militia patrol.
  • Fixed War Galley typo.

  • Implemented Explorer mode!

    In Explorer mode, you are a seasoned adventurer. You start with +1 in all abilities, +6 Stamina, more money in your pouch, and a free resurrection deal. Odds on Rank Luck rolls are in your favour and you will not lose your equipment when resurrected. If you prefer story and exploration over being challenged in combat or by the odds of dice rolls, this is the difficulty for you.

  • Buffed Gryphon encounter.
  • Lowered the Volume of Magic Spear sound effect.
  • Updated how you claim your free house stash in Isle of Druids Trading post to make it more clear to the player what houses are and that they share a single storage space.
  • Added missing Fire in the distance event in Disaster Bay.
  • Added initiate costs in choices at Yarimura temples for consistency.
  • Fixed being able to submit to an ordeal without having Lacuna recorded as goddess.
  • Fixed Lake of the Sea dragon letting you get the big loot twice.
  • Fixed Kaschuff quest continuity if you get his golden locket first before you know of his quest.
  • Fixed Kaschuff quest not showing in Quest log in some cases.
  • Fixed Sea Centaur not taking port at Yarimura, instead it's stuck At Sea.
  • Fixed a choice in Venefax area that could lead to 0 active map choices.
  • Fixed immersion issue arriving at the Citadel of Velis Corin from the North, the text was not the correct description.
  • Fixed Northern plains improper connection to Marsh leading to odd choices available for travel.
  • Fixed labels for Graphics quality.
  • Fixed various typos.
