Hey guys

We know everyone's excited for the update and the dev team also can't wait to watch people play the new content! With that in mind, we thought it's best we give everyone another update so they know what's going on and why it's delayed.

December Developer Update



Developer Update - December 2020


Hey Maze Dwellers!

We posted a dev update yesterday detailing the upcoming content and why it's taking a little longer than expected. You will also be able to see a few sneak peek images of the next zone as well as the new lobby system that will be arriving with the next update.

We hope that sufficiently explains why there's been no content update for a few weeks now. Also, make sure to give us feedback on the merch idea!

Update 18/11/20

Another small update pushed which should fix some issues and also bring about a more robust voice chat as well as key rebinds.

- Added new input manager which should make controllers work for both axis.
- Complete new voice solution which should be much clearer and not choppy
- Voice can now be set to voice activation
- Texture Quality no longer defaults to low
- Turkish/Iranian characters no longer cause the cryptex to fail
- Keys can now be rebound
- Characters will no longer remain after disconnects
- Items should switch much quicker and feel more reactive
- Compass now has a brighter emission so people know which end of the needle is north
- It's not longer possible to go around the cabin to avoid the checkpoint
- Cryptex should now sync for players joining late
- Rune puzzle should now sync for players joining late
- Smiley has had his de-aggro range increased to prevent him from engaging and disengaging constantly
- Fixed the bug where you can only play while in the menu
- Removed player collisions to stop weird things happening (i.e. being pushed into walls)
- The Vegetation setting should no longer default to low
- Various other bug fixes for issues reported on discord
