RogueJack’s 21th Update-a-Versary Released

[h2]FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE[/h2]

BOISE, ID—Monday September 14th, 2020 RogueJack by Ponywolf, where players delve into countless old school dungeons and play Blackjack to the death with a variety of creatures, received its 21st update since it launched in February of this year.

Notable features include improved Gamepad support, Keyboard shortcuts and hints, a new rapid play control scheme and countless of other additions recommended by the very vocal community of players who constantly reminded us “it’s been a while” and “they haven't seen anything new” from this “cheap, piece of garbage” game.



We talked to Ponywolf’s Founder and the designer/developer of RogueJack, Michael Wilson, but he was completely uninteresting. So instead we made up this quote that we will attribute to him instead:

  • Rapid Play, buttons/keys repeat when held down
  • Keyboard Tool-tips
  • Z, X, C are now hot keys for selecting cards
  • Space, Tab and Enter work in most dialogs
  • Added "Reset Switch" to pull 50% of your gold and XP forward if you are caught too deep
  • Deepest floor, gold and XP autosave, even on app suspend
  • Hidden coins in 15% of "Worthless Junk"

RogueJack 1.1.9 is Live

"Get Your Learn On" release. Added items and a Librarian class that give XP bonuses. Plus new fan-translated languages and various improvements!

  • Added Librarian class and XP bonus sword & shield
  • Auto resize for text to keep it within visual bounds (mainly for translations)
  • Some junk are now water jars that can put out fires
  • Font updates for readability and extra characters
  • Added Hungarian language

The "Let's Get Critical" Release v1.1.8

The "Let's Get Critical" release. Hit your way to 21 to do double damage in battle. Also added a few new items and bears (oh my!) Plus the usual amount of fixes and features.



  • Hitting to 21 gives a critical hit
  • Added "cooler" monster portraits
  • The "Hands Tied" achievement fixed
  • Swaps achievements renamed
  • Made banner at bottom of cards also act as "stay"
  • Added heat shield
  • Shields now cure effects when swapped for
  • Monsters freeze, burn, poison better
  • Monsters move when you are frozen
  • Monsters attack while hero is frozen

RogueJack version 1.1.7 Published

The "Pardon our Dust" release. We swept up some dust and debris from adding more languages, now that we're getting back to stable, we can start adding more features!
