[h2]New Demo - new features and content[/h2]

The last time you had the opportunity to visit the northern lands of Viking Frontiers was over 3 months ago. And a lot has changed since then! ⚒️ The demo we have prepared on the occasion of Steam Survival Fest is definitely different from the one you remember from the beginning of the year. And it's not just about a new map or additional features!

[h3]In addition to what you experienced in the first Demo, you can expect:[/h3]

• New map and new plot line
• Settler needs system
• Better settlers AI and behaviors
• Animals and hunting system
• Raid system allowing you to attack other clans (*early version)
• Assigning your own house
• Improvements to production system
• Numerous adjustments, fixes and improvements

As you can see, there are many new challenges ahead. Jarl's Guide #3 - Prologue version of the game and the Building System

Although the title of Jarl is eminently honorable, it comes with great responsibility. Know that managing your own settlement 👑 is a difficult endeavor fraught with hardships, meaningful decisions, and deadly threats. Your life and that of your tribemates can be brought to an abrupt end by harsh weather, famine, cold, untamed wildlife or ferocious animals… and the list goes on. Fear not, however, as the wisdom of the sages and numerous valuable tips are coming to your aid.

This series - The Jarl’s Guide - will help you understand the wild, harsh world around you and support you in your difficult efforts 📜 Read on, and discover how to deal with various unpredictable situations and how to go down in history as a glorious, respectable Jarl. Valhalla!

The Prologue is another very important step towards the release of Viking Frontiers in its full version, and that is why we hope you will join us in this awesome event. As you know, we deeply appreciate your feedback, opinions, and reviews, recognizing them as indispensable tools for refining and enhancing our titles. The Demo version, despite the fact that it was not completely free of problems, was enthusiastically and warmly received by players around the world 😍 and we aim to repeat this situation again!

Viking Frontiers Prologue will be much richer in content than the mentioned Demo, and will include almost all the mechanics that will appear in the full version of the game, although in their slightly truncated, work-in-progress form. Thus, you will face many new challenges, as well as numerous difficult decisions, new management options and features you have never seen before in our title.

[h2]Back to the Jarl's Guide and the Building System ⚒️[/h2]

Now that we've discussed the release Prologue, we can move on to today's subject. The Building System is one of the most basic mechanics you will encounter during your Viking Frontiers adventure. Without the option to construct new buildings and structures, you'll lack the means to provide shelter for yourself and your tribe, initiate the production of vital goods, engage in crafting, or expand your settlement. Make no mistake - in the harsh Nordic lands, it's equivalent to death. That's why the real Jarls are not afraid to take the hammer in their hands and get to work!

Your people are in need, so let's make haste. Once you decide to place a new building and have chosen a suitable location, select the building option. When you do this, you will see a circular panel where you can choose the building blueprint of your choice 🗺️ Good job! All you have to do now is place it on the construction site (remember to avoid obstacles, such as trees or boulders).

Once the planning phase is completed, the construction phase begins. Before you start your work, however, you must first prepare the appropriate building materials. Depending on the advancement of the building you have chosen, these will be simple resources such as thatch, clay, or smaller stones or more complex materials like boards, boulders and logs, that require prior processing. Once you know what materials the facility you are building requires, take them to the construction site.

[h2]With hammer, wood and stone 🔨[/h2]
[hr][/hr]
It's time to set the hammer in motion! But first things first - the building process is divided into stages and elements. You can think of Stages as pieces that hold the structure together (pillars, walls, roof, etc.) Every construction work begins with them, and they constitute the backbone of the structure you are placing. However, walls and a roof alone are not enough to make the new place useful! 🏗️ This is where the elements come in. The elements include all types of devices, furniture and production stations that we will soon use for work.

Ok, now it's time for the most fun part. Grab your hammer and hit the white parts of the building to bring them to new life - stage by stage, element by element. When you complete them all, the construction phase is finished and your settlement is able to enjoy a new useful place to live, work, produce or store goods. Remember that there are many different buildings at your disposal, and each of them has its own unique purpose, so it is worth choosing the right strategy and the order in which they are built 🧐

New buildings and their capabilities are the key to survival in these wild lands. As your tribe develops, your settlement will include, for example, a forge, tannery, port, sawmill, cowshed and many, many more! The more subjects under your command and the greater your ambitions, the more advanced workshops, warehouses and structures you will need. This is why every Jarl must be familiar with the Building System and know how to put their hammers to good use!
