It’s Time for an Important Update from our Studio!

[p]You thought surviving the Plague was an achievement? Think again, lad.[/p][p]Make it through the darkness - or become a part of it.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]

[p]Hello from Toruń, Warriors.[/p][p]Between bug fixes and reading your comments at 2 AM with cold tea on the desk, we have been quietly working on something new. Today we can finally talk about it.[/p]
Yes, it’s a new game announcement!
[p]Brightfall is a co-op open world survival craft roguelite for 1 up to 4 players, set on a cursed 17th-century island erased from English maps. Build, craft, and push back the living darkness before it swallows the world.[/p][p]The year is 1666, the Great Plague of London has just ended, and you are not going home. You are a convict, shipwrecked on a secret island off the English coast, a place whispered about as the source of every plague in history. The Crown erased it from the maps. The Celts once called it holy. Now the darkness has returned.[/p]
How it plays
[p]At its core, Brightfall is about three things:[/p]
  • [p]Light as your lifeline. Lanterns, bonfires and strange Celtic devices are more than props. Light is your most precious resource. It keeps the darkness at bay and holds back the madness that gnaws at your mind when you wander too deep.[/p]
  • [p]1 up to 4 players survival. You start almost naked, scrape together shelter and tools, then slowly grow a safe heaven in the gloom. Face the challenges alone or with your friends - we won’t judge.[/p]
  • [p]Runs that reshape the island. Each expedition into the darkness is a challenge. You push further, fight stronger horrors, drag back new resources and knowledge to expand your skills and base. When you fail, the island changes.[/p]
[p][/p]
Why Achilles players might love it
[p]If you enjoyed Achilles: Survivor or Achilles: Legends Untold, Brightfall might be your cup of tea:[/p]
  • [p]You like pressure and that “one more run” feeling?
Brightfall keeps that roguelite tension but ties it to a living world and a home you return to and improve over time.[/p]
  • [p]You enjoy myths and old stories?
Where Achilles draws from Greek legend, Brightfall leans into Celtic roots, XVII century folklore and old English ghost stories. Stone circles, forgotten shrines, strange woodland spirits - the island is full of them.[/p]
  • [p]You appreciated that our games respect your time?
Brightfall is built around clear goals, meaningful upgrades and runs that move the story and the world forward, even when you die in terrible ways.[/p]
  • [p]You like seeing the seams of a small studio at work?
It is still the same team in Toruń, walking to the office in the Polish rain, arguing about what’s better: Toruń or Bydgoszcz, and quoting fantasy books over tea.[/p]
[p] [/p][p]So, if building a haven in a world that keeps trying to swallow you whole speaks to you, we would be incredibly grateful if you added Brightfall to your wishlist. It helps a small studio like ours more than you might think.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]And a small personal note: we are so excited (and so nervous) to finally show you a bit of the world we were working on for the last months.[/p][p]Thank you for your continued support - making this game wouldn’t be possible without you.[/p][p]~Dark Point Games Team[/p]
