Update 1.2.0f8: New features, many fixes and a preview of Animations Rework.

Hi everyone,
Here's the biggest changelogs for latest patch.

New features:
•Completed Shader Reworks. You should be able to get much better performance on old hardware.
•Added Traditional Chinese language.
•Added new rank patch system on uniforms.
•Added new battery stand prop in Map Editor.
It's now possible to have up to 20 Players in the same faction when playing PvE.

Fixes:
•Improved collisions in trenches and tunnels.
•Fixes in inventory when using a controller.
•Increased injured time.
•Various other fixes from feedbacks reported on Discord.

We usually shows clips like this on our Discord server, but we wanted to show something also here, so plase let us know what you think about it. Further discussion about this will be handled on the Discord server tho.
In general the Animation rework is expected to be completed by hald of this year, but we hope to be able to include some new animations in the game much earlier.

Update 1.2.0f7: Huge shader rework! Better graphic and big optimizations

Hi everyone,
Here's the biggest changelogs for latest patch.

New features:
•(Almost) complete shader rework achieving:
-Better performance
-Fixes of various shader glitches with DepthPass.
-Sharper looking textures.
-Better terrain effect at distance.
-More consistent snow and terrain blending effects.
•Added customizable distance LOD texture for terrain in Map Editor.

Fixes:
•Changed the way the game manages localization files.
•Fixes in mission editor.
•Fixes in Stalingrad water.
•Fixed bug when interacting with injured soldiers when using gamepad.
•Various other smaller fixes.

Update 1.2.0f5: New visual FXs, improved animations and many other changes

Hi everyone,

Recently we have been working to improve the visual and the performance of the game, and followed many suggestions given by Discord users to make small but essential improvements in the game.

New features:
•Added bullet hole effect in small firearms.
•New bullet impact effects.
•New fire muzzle effects.
•Many progresses on Normandy campaign.
•New apple tree and oak tree models.
•New Hedgerow model.

Fixes:
•Improvements on explosion damages.
•Improved animations in mortars.
•Improved Infantry AI behaviour against tanks.
•Improvements on airborne cargo planes.
•Improved sound effects.
•Improved parachutes.
•Fixes in flamethrowers.
•Changes in some dog tags.

We are still working into airborne system to make proper animations inside cargo planes.
We are also going ahead with the Animation reworks and the Normandy campaign and very soon we will release pictures and videos regarding the status of such works on the Discord server.
Probably soon we will start implementing small previews of modding system, adding the possibility to include custom 3d models for props and buildings in custom maps.

Regarding Nintendo Switch the 20/12/2022 a new update will come to the console to bring the version from 1.1.6 to 1.2.0, adding all the changes including the new Roi-Namur campaign, the new vehicles and much much more. Also the 2nd of January 2023 the Stalingrad DLC will be available on the Nintendo e-Shop.

We keep improving all features of the base game and as always we will be going on listening to suggestions from people inside the Steam Discussions and the Discord server.

Update 1.2.0: Reworked visuals, new weather effects, many small improvements

Hi everyone,

Recently we have been working to improve the visual and the weather system of the game, gaining huge improvements. We also worked to improve other aspects of the game. Here's the full list of the changelogs:

New features:
•Improved visual in general.
•Reworked procedural skybox.
•New Rain & Snow effects.
•Added "switch squad member" function on gamepads (holding pause button).
•Added new US uniforms and reworked old ones (They are now more accurate).
•Added new sound FXs.

Fixes:
•Fixed Montecassino battle.
•Improvements in lighting.
•Improvements in fog.
•Improved Stalingrad map and missions.
•Improved Roi-Namur map and missions.
•Improvements in Gamepad controls.
•Improvements in sounds.
•Fixes in lamps.
•Some performance improvements.
•Some improvemens in localization.
•Various other fixes from feedbacks and suggestions.

For the next weeks we will focus mostly on cargo planes for big parachue operations to be used in Mission Editor and in future campaigns, and at the same time we are getting some progresses in the full animation rework.

Regarding Nintendo Switch we managed to complete to prepare the new patch that will bring all the changes from version 1.1.6 up to this version we just released (1.2.0). The improvements on Switch will include better visual and huge improvements in performance and Stability. It will also bring the new campaigns (Roi-Namur free campaign and Stalingrad DLC) on the console. We are waiting for Nintendo's approval on the update and it will take around 1 month. We will release updates regarding this on the Discord server.

Easy Red 2 - Campaign Intro Live broadcast

Hi everyone,

We are now broadcasting live a singleplayer gameplay by me (the developer) on every campaign intro of Easy Red 2.
What is Easy Red 2?
It's a open world WW2 simualtor game where you can fight massive battles between infantry, armored vehicles, tanks, cannons and planes. Realistically manage your weapons and equipment, coordinate with your squad, and tactically navigate large, fully destructible open world maps. Experience the WW2 in singleplayer, PVP and Co-Op!
Easy Red 2 also features many sandbox settings and a full map & mission editor compatible with the Steam Workshop.
