Introducing Truck World: Driving School version 1.2, featuring exciting new improvements and enhancements to provide an even better truck driving experience! We've been working hard to address your feedback and requests, and we're proud to share these updates with you. Check out the detailed changelog below:

1. Added Free Ride mode, allowing players to freely roam around the industrial area.
   
2. Updated the lesson rating system. Precision is the only factor considered for 2-star ratings, while time remaining determines 3-star ratings. The stopwatch is disabled by default, but can be enabled in options.
   
3. New steering wheel and controller system. Improved Force Feedback (FFB) for steering wheels and vibrations for gamepads.
   
4. Added multi-monitor support.
   
5. Enhanced audio quality and spatial localization of sounds.
   
6. Implemented performance optimization resulting in smoother gameplay across various hardware configurations.
   
7. Added a new trailer for an engaging hauling experience.
   
8. Introduced several new functionalities, including interactive gates and barriers.
   
9. Added an option to mute menu music.
   
10. Adjusted mission difficulty for a more realistic experience.
    
11. Fixed issues with completing Tutorial steps.
    
12. Refined driving physics parameters, including gearbox operation and ground friction.
    
13. Corrected inaccurate star counting for completed lessons.
    
14. Developed documentation for common issues available on our support website at support.truckworldstudio.com, which will be regularly updated.

The time has come - we’re super excited to announce that Truck World: Driving School, a free-to-play standalone version of Truck World: Australia, will be released on January 10, 5 PM CET (8 AM PT).

In Truck World: Driving School, you’ll go through a range of graded lessons teaching you the basics of truck driving, such as handling your rig, parking, maneuvering etc. Ultimately, you’ll reach the game’s pinnacle: the final exam assessing how well you have grasped everything taught throughout the game. Take up the challenge and strive for the perfect score!

Hi everyone!

We're going to run a playtest of Truck World: Driving School this month to make sure the game is in good technical state and fun to play for half an hour or so.

If you’d like to participate in the playtest, you can now request access to it on the game’s main page.



The number of players invited for the playtest will be limited, so don't worry if you don't get in - Driving School is scheduled for release in January 2023, and you’ll be able to try it out pretty soon anyway.

We have created a few places for playtest participants to submit their feedback. You'll be able to do this right inside the build, but we'll also welcome everyone on our discord server (we haven't done anything with it it for a while, but now is a great time to get back to it).

And, of course, wishlist both Driving School and the full game if you haven’t done it yet!

You haven't heard from us in a while! We’re all good, and work is going very well.

Although we are close to completing the Truck World Driving School, we came to the conclusion that for real truck drivers, learning to drive is not enough. Therefore, we want to present you with a new additional map of Quarry! In Truck World: Driving School you will be able to complete the first real transport mission there.



We plan to release Driving School for free early next year.
