We know that Fata Deum didn't meet everyone's expectation yet and are gathering all the feedback, balancing it internally and will shape Fata Deum towards the God Game that we are all looking for together with you![/p][p]We’re happy to announce that the first patch for Fata Deum is now available in the Beta Branch! [/p][p]To make sure every update works as smooth as possible for every player we provide the new updates on a specific beta branch first. You can decide to hop onto it or remain on the Default branch that will receive the update as soon as we get the feedback that the beta branch is good and stable.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]πŸ“’Update Approach:[/h3]

  • [p]Weekly patches/updates – we aim to improve Fata Deum regularly, incorporating your feedback as quickly as possible. In the beginning that means definitely at least (!) weekly patches/fixes. Later when we pick bigger topics it will potentially slow down but increase in depth.[/p]

This news story about Fata Deum is written in homage of a random early access Steam reviewer who comments that if you've never played a god sim before, they're kind of like idle sims. My word, the casually ferocious and embittered atheist poetry of that. Consider my fedora tipped, milords and ladies. I'm off to read the Screwtape Letters again.


Fata Deum isn't just any born-again idle sim. It pays overt homage to Lionhead's Black & White, with higgledy-piggledy 3D island maps and a familiar hand cursor, used to carry believers to safety or lob them into the sea. There are some significant differences, however.
